  1. Can't also played that OT game on Monday against CMU. Their 5 starters played more than 30 minutes, with their main 4 playing 40+.
  2. Lots of "3s" when it comes to this game. Third time Akron/Can't have met for MAC Title Game. Third time for Akron/Can't this season. So I figured I'd do a 3-part continuous, connecting Haiku... Here we go again Akron and Can't meet again Dancing shoes await Kent's last dance - '08 10 points scored in the first half Wow does Can't State suck Fast-forward to now It is 11:03 And Can't State still sucks
  3. The last time Can't was in the MAC Championship game.
  4. For the OU/Can't game...
  5. I'm an Akron fan, but I root for Louisville, Kentucky, and Indiana. I know that is something none of those fan bases can understand. Gotta extend this lead here. Antino's energy is HUGE right now.
  6. Defense wins championships. Nice defensive effort here.
  7. Letting them hang around so we can have another Titanic theme song moment. Not exactly what I want.
  8. MAC Refs are gonna MAC Ref... Mediocre. Ass. Conference. MAC.
  9. The goal has to methodically blow Ball State out so we can rest our bigs at the end of the game. Need to stop with the quick 3's and get open ones, or pound the rock inside.
  10. EXCELLENT ball movement to start the game. And that's crap that Persons is playing. I wonder if MAC/NCAA will investigate.
  11. Didn't he also have 9 stitches to close up his head wound? Not that he can't play with a wound, but if the wound opens up Trevor-Bauer-style, he'll have to exit the game. And as you said, this is IF he passes concussion protocol within a day. I wish him success in the CBI or CIT.
  12. Unbelievable.
  13. Put me down for the Inebriated Bronco. Ball State has shown flashes of being a solid MAC school this year.
  14. Good win by Akron. I had the ESPN3 feed pulled up at work (thank you dual monitor system) but we ended up getting called into a meeting at 1:30 - went to Menchies, so I guess that's a consolation. I missed the end, but was glad to see us show the ability to pull away and close the game out. THAT'S what myself and MANY others have been asking for. Hope those Ball State players are ok. I always cringe when I hear about head injuries from personal experience.
  15. Can someone use their Photoshop skills and take the logo of the boy peeing on (insert team here - usually Can't State), and replace the team he's peeing on with the word LEAD? ALWAYS PEEING AWAY LEADS! Hopefully the slow start doesn't bite us in the rear end. Gotta come out and establish a lead, and extend it.
  16. I said "donate to." Not "donate the entire arena." A couple million to get the arena project jump started would be nice, and we can call it the LeBron James Arena and LeBron James Family Foundation Court.
  17. The Suckeyes lost to Rutgers tonight in the Big Ten tourney.
  18. Thad Matta has plateaued, and has been plateaued for some time now. His tournament appearances are like Dambrot's 21 win seasons - participation trophies. Not to mention he had the one big run to the Championship game and has progressively regressed year after year. It shouldn't be this hard to have more success at OSUcks. He also supposedly has some major health problems. Plus, if Senderoff is Mr. Pinky, Matta is Mr. Red. Not sure I've ever seen someone get so red so easily.
  19. Obviously not enough to donate to a new arena.
  20. Right, but looking at it from YSU's perspective, Fuline would still be the bigger slam dunk in my opinion. He's younger, probably going to be cheaper than the rest, and I'd say he's more apt to stay long term. Geno Ford might have the better resume DI experience wise, but a school like YSU can't afford to overlook his tendency to make the quick jump to a school (especially with his presumed price tag), no matter what situation it leaves himself or his previous University with. Also, varying success at the DIII level is pretty explainable most of the time. Not to mention he's had 4 straight winning seasons, even if this year was closer to .500. Not to mention the fact that DIII basketball powerhouse Marietta is in the OAC. Again, just my opinion.
  21. Fuline would be the biggest slam dunk out of these 4. No offense to McFadden (2nd best hire), I just know that Fuline's name has been tossed around in the past by DI schools. I believe he runs a very strong program at Mount. Ford would be the worst hire, and then Donlan, in my opinion.
