  1. I dunno. I never lose hope. We stayed in that Penn State game until the third quarter, and the same with the OSU game last year. Maybe we can rise up and keep this thing within reach for a while...
  2. someone help me out.... when's the last time we got spanked for more than 4 touchdowns?
  3. The best solution:Become a BCS regular, and then we can be snotty and not care about the peon non-BCS schools. It's not impossible, it's just improbable. If it was impossible, then that would indicate a rigged conspiracy, in which case legal action would be warranted against fraud, racketeering, and monopoly.

  5. oh God i have...i call it my pilgrimage. Miller Brewing Company and the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company. Both amazing places that give you a good amount of free beer on the tour. (aka 3 or 4 to each person, each tour)wait..... are you suggesting that miller is better than great lakes?????
  6. I think I remember looking this stuff up a couple years when we speculated about a stadium but didn't even know for sure if or where it was going to happen. NCAA Football field (this is from a PDF containing 2004 NCAA rules on soccer fields) It seems that the factor of contention is the width. If the minimum width of soccer is 70 yards, and the width of football 54 yards, it seems to me it would be hard to construct your football stadium to get the fans as close to the field as you'd like for football and still permit soccer.Granted, football seems to need more room from sidelines than soccer, but even so, I think that accommodating soccer in your stadium pushes fans back by anywhere from 6 to 13 yards farther away from the action in football than they otherwise would be.
  7. First Merit was the sponsor last year, BTW.I dunno. I might go if I can get tickets cheap enough. Hehe. Might be fun if the flushers get stomped
  8. I thought it was great when I could get Guinness on tap at Browns stadium. Who cares if Great Lakes is a Cleveland product? I'm all for picking Akron over Cleveland when there is a clear choice, but I am also going to take Cleveland over elsewhere when I can as well..... but that is all moot when it comes to beer. I don't buy into geographic allegiances when it comes to taste, and Great Lakes beer is actually pretty damned good. I used to say that Sam Adams beers were better (as far as domestic brew product lines), but either my tastes have changed, or Sam Adams has changed, because Sam Adams tastes too flowery for me now.I think Roo Brew should be a choice at the new place, but I'm not saying I'll buy it. I'd have to try it first.
  9. I think it speaks more about emotional maturity. You tell me how many people have the ability, at that age, not to allow the chides of his peers to dictate how he feels about his decisions. What it comes down to is having the confidence in yourself to know your right and to back up what you say.
  10. If you put together a summer league team mostly for fun and experience and to give your draft picks some action, why go hunting around for able bodies to complete the roster when LeBron has connections with players who are more than capable. :)Too bad those games are all out in Vegas.
  11. I dunno much about this stuff but it seems to me that this could cause some major headaches considering a good portion of students are under 21. I think the loges, clubs/luxury suites are much more likely to have a large majority of older consumers. It is done elsewhere, so there are obviously ways of handling this stuff. And the incentive that the extra profit capability alcohol sales bring probably overcomes the headaches of having to card thousands of people and deal with people who overconsume and cause trouble. Still, it's a big decision.
  12. We'll never know what other offers they got for Sebathia, because they just don't divulge that kind of information. An ace starting pitcher not only should garner a major league player in a trade, but probably 2 of them if they are position players because good pitching is so hard to get. The problem with this situation is that the other team only gets Sebathia for the rest of the season... unless they resign him, and I don't think that Milwaukee is at the top of the money-to-burn list (LA&NY*cough*), so you just aren't going to get teams that are going to throw away loads of big league talent for someone even of his caliber for half a season.
  13. want me to bump this for you in a week (so you don't have to)?
  14. this pretty much sums up your lack of credibility right here. You know that the FSU win would come up and so you try to negate it ahead of time due to 'lack of motivation'. wow. just wow.
  15. It presently resides in the reception area of the coach's offices.Another squandered marketing opportunity I agree, but that doesn't mean it has to stay that way.Someone should at least float the idea of an inset case on the new stadium that faces exchange street or by that giftshop/ticket office area near the entrance. When the wheel is here, it could be lit with floods. When it is gone, the case could go dark, as a ominous and somber motivation to set things right.
  16. Why the failure and doom?I don't understand.Once the infrastructure is in place, the primary expense is bandwidth.

  18. OMG the old logo was horribly cheap looking.Just about anything would have been an upgrade, but the new logo is sorta slick. The shield (er whatever) style is euro/soccer-esque
  19. football? Are you starting to feel it.When the weekend hits, do you start to feel that little pang? It's just really getting to be summer now, but all of a sudden, today, I noticed a little bit of that feeling that comes back on the weekends every year. Guess my yearly clock is a little ahead of itself.Where's the football?lol
  20. but...but... that path is shown running down between the student wellness center and the baseball field toward vine street.... I dunno.
  21. It may not even be a street when they are done with it. I dunno, but wouldn't it be right to incorporate it into the promenade surface that much of the campus is done with? It's going to adjoin with the "living room"
  22. Investigators said Daniels used his cell phone to film Jones having sex with the womanOkay, so, number-1, innocent until proven guilty. He wasn't convicted..........He wasn't even charged.Point Number-2, he didn't admit to what was alleged. "Investigators said..."So, did he do it?Or didn't he?I hope you are never falsely accused of anything.PS. He probably did very wrong. But my opinion doesn't matter either. That's what the law is for.
  23. it worked for me yesterday from a different computer.I think you may need to clean out your browser cache (not cookies) so that it's not trying to remember the old page
  24. I've tried several times today... the java loads, but the images don't.
  25. yum! lolthe secret is, a constant variety of stuff he likes to eat (as long as it isn't too much junk food). When you are scrimmaging and playing ball so much, it's gotta be really hard to try to bulk. Also, because of his size and youth, I am sure his metabolism runs fast. Of course, you wouldn't want to bulk too fast anyway, so it's all good.If you gain at a slow and steady pace, your legs can adapt and you don't lose your agility or your vertical.
