  1. Okay, I’ll take holding. But I saw a clip.
  2. Clip on OU’s punt return.
  3. So you’re saying I’d better not try to guard him ?
  4. Riley got beat deep again ?
  5. We're almost certainly going to have to go deep more often to stretch the field if we want our rushing offense to be as relatively successful as it was last week. I'm excited about Dollard & Boogie running the ball. Hopefully our young OL can continue to gel.
  6. What would make you guys happy with our performance tonight? I want to see us 1. Contain the run on D. 1b. Make more defensive disruptions in the backfield. 2. See Gibson make a nice jump from game 1 to 2. 3. See halftime adjustments from the coaching staff. 3b. Not get boat raced in the 2nd half. 4. Be within 14 points for most of the game and not lose by more than 21.
  7. Anyone know whether LePear Toles will be able to play this year?
  8. TripleDoubleProspects dot com on Nate Johnson Please click the link. But the gist: "Big, strong and hyper athletic combo guard with a great feel for the game... As his jump shot gains consistency he has a much upside as anyone in Ohio's 2021 class."
  9. Holy crap! This guys' highlight film from MaxPreps is amazing! So smooth! 6-3 combo guard from Lakota East. 24/7 Sports & Rivals.com rank him as a 3-star recruit.
  10. Btw, I noticed Gest on the sideline, dressed in a jersey but no pads.
  11. It’s huge. Hoban’s athletes always overwhelm the other teams. It’d be tough to do that in D-1, unless he was at Clemson or Ohio State.
  12. Tim Tyrell's a great one, no doubt. He's turned Hoban into the STVM of Ohio football.
  13. My lord. I can’t believe an option (and it is realistic) for Q #1 was Bobcats by 39+. What have we come to? ??
  14. Our competition for Anderson's services are New Mexico State, Cleveland State, and Lamar. I'm a proponent of the Oxford Comma.
  15. I thought both Boogie & Dollard looked legit. Especially for how young the OL & QB are I thought the O played well.
  16. Jordyn Riley made SportsCenter ?
  17. Uh oh. I noticed he tweaked what appeared to be his knee on a play. But I didn't notice him leaving the game. I noticed R-Fr. Shawn Naim getting quite a few reps in the 2nd half but thought it was because the coaches though the game was out of reach.
  18. I just can't believe we couldn't stop the run at all. Nothing else will matter or fall into place if we can't stop the run on D. We did enough on offense to win the game (though we did throw a pick-6). But with our complete inability to stop the run last night we could've had Trevor Lawrence and Clemson's offense and we still would have lost. Simply gotta sell out to stop it & make them beat you passing the ball.
  19. My observations. The bad: 1. Cant stop the run on D. If you can't stop the run, does anything else matter? 2. No disruption behind the LOS. Love Bubba and Reggie, but their lack of size is an issue. More blitzing? We need to sell out to stop the run. After that we can worry about the DB's. 3. Riley getting beat deep again. Happens a lot. Just keep your man in front of you and make them dink&dunk down the field if necessary. 4. Punting is still an issue. This should not be the case for a D1 team. 5. Gibson threw a few head-scratcher passes. 6. OL is too young to win with this year. 7. After 13 games our coaching staff has yet to make an impactful halftime adjustment. It may be that we're simply out-manned on the field. Idk. But no way our D should be giving up 58. Announcer said WMU's OL were all 5th year seniors, so maybe WMU will show that they do indeed have an elite OL. We'll see. The good: 1. Offense looks better overall. Quite better, IMHO. A bad play last night was a 1-2 yard gain, as where a bad play last year (and there were a ton) was a 5-yard TFL in the backfield. 2. Gibson looks good. We can win with Gibson. He'll get better as he's still only a R-Fr. Unless Kato's taken a major leap, I'm thinking his days as starter are over. 3. Our new RB's - Dollard & Boogie - are much better than we had last season. Major improvement. (Gest must have COVID-19.) 4. Mathison is a primetime WR. 5. Our OL is going to be amazing... in another 1-2 years. Lol. They performed better last night than last year's OL. I'm anxious to watch them develop.
  20. Well. If we can’t stop the run... Gonna be another rough season. Gotta sell out on the run.
