That quote jumped out at me as well. Again, why does he have the Zips beat? Pathetic. He should stick with watching movies. And the Beacon Journal should take some pride in what they do.

Agreed. Akron and K.e.nt should play that up. Maybe they should even copyright the phrase "best mid-major rivalry in the country." Use it in advertising at least 3x per year: 2x men's basketball & football. Anything... anything... to stoke interest & sell tickets. Massillon and McKinley really play up the oldest high school rivalry in the country angle. It makes it seem like more people are interested in it than there actually are. But it helps perception and perception is reality. We should be smart enough to do the same.

Any updates on LePear? I'd love to see LePear don the blue & gold. He's at Fork Union Military Academy so barely ever tweets. I.e., not putting much information out there.
