Agreed. That stat may actually be handicapping us. I can't figure out why we don't play a more challenging non-con schedule & trying to keep the 21-win streak alive is all I can come up with. Go into the lion's den, KD. Hit the road & schedule the big boys. (This should have been the year to do it w/ Dog & Kwan both seniors. Next year's group is going to perhaps need a softer non-con schedule to learn to play together w/o the big two. But I digress...)

If Utomi had been given minutes earlier in the season he would have made All-Freshman team. He and Miami's Michael Weathers were the two best freshmen I saw.

Agreed. Akron and K.e.nt should play that up. Maybe they should even copyright the phrase "best mid-major rivalry in the country." Use it in advertising at least 3x per year: 2x men's basketball & football. Anything... anything... to stoke interest & sell tickets. Massillon and McKinley really play up the oldest high school rivalry in the country angle. It makes it seem like more people are interested in it than there actually are. But it helps perception and perception is reality. We should be smart enough to do the same.
