BJ: Zips won't look past RedHawks with rival Bobcats next on schedule the last time coach Keith Dambrot’s team beat the RedHawks in Millett Hall, none of the current players was on the roster. In that game from the 2012-13 season, the Zips squeaked out a 54-50 win.

With rosters of 100+ 19-24 year-old egos there is drama like this all the time every season everywhere. We just happen to follow Akron. Add the somewhat recent phenomena of social media & now everyone can read about it.

That YSU loss was a killer. But oh, well. Happens once in a while, especially first game of the year. We laid an egg & YSU played well.

Any news from Hilltopper or GoZips concerning how Eric Parrish is developing? Sunrise Christian Academy doesn't do a stellar job in keeping their basketball website updated.

That's a promising sign! Bubba could be our next Brian Wagner.

Excellent team ball: Isaiah Johnson, Antino Jackson, Jimond Ivey, and Noah Robotham all average over 10 points a game for the Zips. Kwan Cheatham Jr. isn’t far behind with 9.9.

DeKalb, Oxford & Mount Pleasant are tough road trips. I'm going to pick us to run in sand tonight and lose a game we shouldn't. Always happens a few times a year.

It really is. This is why I've mentioned in the past that universities shouldn't have athletics budgets. All athletics expenditures should be categorized as advertising expenses, because that's what they really are.
