Notre Dame handled Witchita State rather easily last night. The Fighting Irish are in the Elite Eight, their only close call being a narrow first-round win against Buffalo.

I'm not thrilled about Newman Williams at TE. He was a pretty dominant inside linebacker.

It's strange how impressionable (at least on me) their 5-year run was, because I still think of them as a top basketball school, but they're actually quite far from it. They'd fit in nicely with us, Ohio, Buffalo & UT.

Maybe I'm really showing my age, but I still view DePaul as a prime job. Yeah, they haven't done anything lately, but they really have a good (great?) tradition & they're located in downtown Chicago. Recruiting wise, Hurley could build an annual Sweet 16 team without ever having to drive more than 15 miles from campus.

It lists all (of which they are aware) outstanding scholarship offers Akron (or any school) has through the next two years. It doesn't reflect the offer that we've apparently extended to Malik Miller. It does show that we've offered a scholarship to Canton Timken's LePear Toles. I still haven't seen where we've offered STVM's Henry Baddley. He's going to be legit. We should get on him. Hilltopper mentioned that Baddley's parents are thinking "bigger than the MAC." Great, so are we! And, btw, Rick Bolus has future Zip Isaiah Williams more highly ranked than Baddley. I think Baddley's just got a ton of potential, plus he's a homeboy - we gotta get that STVM pipeline running again (we're also going to covet STVM sophomore PG Jayvon Graves in two years).

In the Pennsylvania Class A state championship game, Malik Miller's Farrell High got blown out 85-53 by Philadelphia's Constitution High. Malik, however, scored 24 points and was named Farrell player of the game.

Went & saw Josh & STVM play Poland Seminary tonight. Josh was on fire. He scored 27 points and I only remember him missing one shot all night. Well said. This illustrates many fans' disillusionment with our less-than-demanding schedule.

I think many of us are to the point where straws are breaking backs. It's an accumulation of factors couched in a generally sub-par culture surrounding UA athletics administration. There seems to be a real sense that we on ZN.O care exponentially more about UA athletics than those who are paid to care. I know that little things (that in and of themselves should not be big deals) have begun to really annoy me.
