Most on here, including myself, were (extremely) disappointed with that. The article says that the proposed arena would have cost $76 million. If UA is willing to put up 30 million, how on earth can Akron (& Summit County) not come together for an additional $46 million? Name the various entrances. Name the... whatever! Come together, Summit County! The Zips, and downtown Akron, need a new arena - not a refurbished JAR.

I was reading an article on Akron's "Serial Pooper" by Bob Dyer. In the context of the story going viral, Bob mentioned this fact: "We have a big electronic board in the newsroom that shows which stories are being read the most on our website at that moment, as well as how long people are reading each story and where the readers are coming from (another Ohio.com story? Facebook, Twitter or Reddit? Links on other websites?)." Just thought I'd mention that if we want more Zips coverage, we've definitely got to give Zips articles "hits" on Ohio.com!

I only see two names listed on both starting lineups - DeVera and Garcia-Aguilar. So we basically split our squad & tied a semi-pro team and beat another D-1 college team. I'd consider that to be pretty impressive!

If Hurley was our coach we'd think he was UA's next Caleb Porter. He's a fighter & instills an air of confidence and toughness in his squad. I hope he stays at Buffalo. I'm beginning to really enjoy the rivalry.

Ugh. Makes me sick to my stomach. Honestly, and this is truly embarrassing, but both Walsh University and Malone have nicer baseball facilities than we do. Simply unacceptable.

I don't think KD should make a judgment so soon. Give it a day. These guys are going to want to play again. It's what they do - they're ball players. I hope we play. I just thoroughly love watching this team play ball. But I also think we should play. Consider these games scrimmages. Who cares if we win or not? Tell the players there is absolutely no pressure here, we're gonna play hard, but not necessarily to "win." Kinda like minor league baseball; development is the primary goal. Get Aaron Jackson playing time. Get Big Dog more playing time. Get Antino more PT (he's a ball of fire and is going to feel like playing again by tomorrow morning). Reward Malcolm's hard work at practice all year long with some nice PT. How's BJ feeling? If able, an extra game or two would really benefit him. And give Deji & Nyles a ton of minutes as a last hurrah. They've done a great job representing UA; wearing "Akron" on their chests. Let them do it one more time. And finally, as someone noted above, go on the road. Make it fun. Eat out at a couple of nice restaurants. Go sightseeing. Take selfies. Cheer for your senior teammates & for those who didn't get as much PT during the regular season. Make memories. Better than sitting around the dorms next week.

Excellent run. I might be more proud of this Zips team than any other since I've been following Akron basketball. What character! Lots of adversity this year & they never gave up & never got blown out. Thank you Deji & Nyles. Well done! Proud of you guys! Let's have some fun in a post-season tourney.

Nice. I hope Hurley stays in Buffalo for a long time. It's good for us & keeps pressure on us to up our game as well. Plus, I like the budding rivalry with Buffalo. It's fun. We've already got two pretty epic rivals in OU & K.e.n.t. Let's have another; makes for more meaningful games throughout the course of the season.

I'm worried about NIU. NIU is just one of those teams that plays well against us and I doubt we'll be shooting the 3 at the high percentage we did against K.e.nt, which kept us in the game.

We needed more from Nyles last night. 2 points, 1 assist, 1 rebound.

I was wondering the same; wondering if Dambrot had lost his sanity. We needed someone to step up & Antino's been willing and able to do so. After that huge 3 KD succeeded in getting Antino to hang his head & just stare down at his shoes. I think it was Kwan who put his arm around Antino & cheered him up again. The rest of the team & bench were appropriately amped about Antino's clutch shot.
