I know the real Zippy! There's actually like 4 of them, but 3 of them suck! The real Zippy was Zippy today! Also, the suit is brand new. They won't let us pick her up anymore because of the "new suit." But I did notice the holes. Seems to me that she should be able to crowd surf again.

I thought I would be able to fire up the North Side of the AK-Rowdies today, but I have come to conclusion that that side is hopeless. If you're gonna be a Rowdie, then represent. We don't need to see you twiddling your thumbs on national TV. Pathetic! I'm not saying the entire side was this bad, but only about a quarter of them were consistently loud. If you only wanna get loud when we score or make a nice play, then you can do that from the top of the arena. If you wanna scream your @$$ off and get AK-Mutha-Truckin'-ROWDY, then stand on the floor! The north side needs to be the loudest in the arena at gametime! They can set the tone for the entire game when the opposing team has to shoot at that basket! I'll be back on the south side next week!

Just got back from Awesome Dude's place. Wait til you guys see the signs tomorrow! Akron will represent on ESPN2!

Nah, we tossed a bunch of stuff when we moved out of our old house last year. Alot of which I wish we kept...alot of which I hope finds a dumpster and never sees the light of day.

That was actually a paper I did my first year of college. Surprisingly, I went to OU for a quarter. Seriously though, I didn't write it, just always got a chuckle out of it. Hope you did too.

The north side is generally quieter. I really do not know why. We need to get some more of the obnoxious Rowdies over there. I don't think Witherspoon (Buffalo's coach) really got too mad at the Rowdies, he is just an animated coach that likes to interact with the fans. That's pretty much what I've gathered. He and Charlie Coles are two of my favorite coaches to welcome to the JAR. Of course, we are jerks to them, but I think they know we mean well. ;)I also wanted to add that the C-Note isn't mine. It was made by Bob (Awesome Dude). If you get a chance to see it up close, we crossed out the signature of the Secretary of the Treasury and C-Mid signed it. Rumor on the street is that he wants it after the season.

I think the T was called because the ref tripped over Witherspoon's feet. Not positive, but that's what we were assumming. One of Buffalo's players should have been T'd after he slammed the ball down too.

In response to The Rowdy, this publication is usually at every game. The reason it wasn't at today's game was because no one really seems to use the information. It almost seems like a waste of time to put them together because the "cute" cheers aren't as effective as the Z-Fense and other noise. Some students do use The Rowdy to get in players' heads, but it seems as a whole, people just ignore them. If you want more of the The Rowdy, they will continue!

In response to the original poster, yea, the turnout was definitely pathetic. Especially after the Can't game, but my post about the O Zone still holds true. If you're going to pack the student section they should be loud. Maybe my observations are skewed and the Rowdies sound louder than they are since I'm sitting with them, but I think we were loud most of the game, not just when we took the lead.

OU is a 10.5 point favorite tonight against the Bulls.

Once we get the two sides on the same page, look out. We were loud the entire game. The O Zone is loud for about half of the defensive possessions.

I just want to clarify a few things. In response to not enough "Can't State Sucks" chants, I almost forgot it was a game against Can't! Obviously, I really didn't, but their fans were so quiet, there was no need to shut them up or rub it in their faces. Also, I've noticed a few posts regarding the sign that we had to roll back up. It keeps appearing on here as "Can't Statecks," but if you weren't there, it was about half the length of an AK-Rowdy section and read "K-S-U-c-ks" I just wanted to make sure everyone dug it.

I don't know what KZone is, but I'm pretty sure the local channel 23 is also carrying the game. Hopefully people won't stay at home to watch it.

Yea, I realized that was an oxymoron after I posted it. For those that can't read or write, an oxymoron is a collection of words with contradictory meanings. And contradictory means that....ah, hell, it's hopeless.Can't Read! Can't Write! Can't State!
