Thank you for all the opinions and game reporting. I "watched" the game on Game Tracker from GoZips.com....boy does it suck and then waiting for the Zip Score to cycle through on the ESPN games. I am pleased to see improvement, yet very concerned about the let down and lack of ability to "piut away" an inferior team in the Testicle State guys. The season starts now. They need to get their asses fired up for Marshit oops Marshal , the Cats and the RedHawks. Kudoos to my OL boys finally playing to their level of abilities. Do not know if it is coaching or just their moptivation and figuring out that in addition to #5 they truly are the strength of this football team. Padre, you saw how truly important the loss of Cherry, Irv, Nick and Brake were to the passing attack with your comment about the receivers. I say bring the departed 16 seniors back for one more game, how about against The Thundering Turds??? I will be at the Bowl this Saturday. Looking forward to seeing some of my fellow slugs . Nothing better than a great flame war on a BBS, reminds me of last year with that butt from Miami who was a moderator on MAC BBS, when i called him Bennett Cerf. Now to the point, 5 is the man. The cast of characters this year is different. The failures or less than adequate performances from this years cast to play to 5's strenghts are explanable and understandable and hopefully correctible with experience except for one thing: the OL. thiose guys are a mystery to me big time. The strength of this team besides 5 should be in those 5 guys. The rest: NO 42 PERHAPS THE BIGGEST LOSS CAUSE 42 COULD CASTCH THE BALL OUT OF THE BACKFIELD, RUN IT WHEN THE OL MADE HOLES AND MOST IKMPORTANTLY BLOCKED HIS FRIGGIN NUTS OFF FOR 5 !!!!!!!!! MIKE BRAKE...HUGE LOSS NOT REPLACED. cHERRY , iRV AND nICK HUGE LOSSES NOT TOTALLY REPLACED BUT THERE ARE POSMISES. OF COURSE THE D STILL SUX. Gotta weigh in on this one. First JP, I agree with you from a pure analytical standpoint comparing last yeas to this year. CK you are , as usual on the money with your take. Yet something smells in Denmark. Ringer/Biggs do not come close to replacing Hendry. Why? First heart. No one had more. Second, he's a friggin warrior. No one blocked for 5 better than Bobby. If the D is as unimproved as it a[[eared last Sat and the offense does not step up and make some plays and their offense is more prolithic than ours, we simply cannot catch up. We need that O to step and and play like they have the ability to do. Its quite a different deal this year vs last. We could score from anywhere at anytime and proved it each and every week. Not so based on last week

i will waid back in now. I have not talked with any of my inside sources and those who should know so these are my IMHO's agains,,,gheesssshhhh: I think their game plan was to run the ball. They abandoned it early on and went back to the "spread offense". Waddell was correct in saying that it was a good move untill they figured out how to contain it...they did. Generally they looked disoriented. I am very surprised that the OL did not do better than they ap[peared to look to my relatively trained eye. I know Crouch got hurt in Q2 and that caused some probl but 71 looked pretty good for a rookie start to me. I do not know why guard to guard they were not stronger. The raw rookie receivers were obvious. It matters not that Hixon is an athlete and he played WR in high school. Maybe it was nerves. Maybe it was bad coaching and preparedness. Again, the defense just plai n sucks. Nop tackling n0o hitting no rush. You win with defense. Cannot blame this failure on JTresey, he be gone. I wonder what was said in the locker toom at halftime and on the ride home. This was a butt kicking like i have not wittnessed since UCF two or three years ago. It was embarrassing and i remember what happened, back to basics, a lot of yelling and some boys got real moticated and played better. No one ive seen has answered my question: Was 44 there? Watched game on ESPN, first non attended game in 4 years. What is with waddell on the mike? My thoughts: The MAC sucked in every game we were not the worst PSU is back.
