Perhaps your ZI PS thing hasn't caught on because it's derivative of OH IO.

O.K. Let me modify my previous comment to "the odds that he collects on a 7 figure NIL dramatically increase if two of the digits are to the right of the decimal point."

Quinn Ewers, the number 1 rated QB who skipped his senior season to start at OSU, has entered the transfer portal. The reports say he wants to return to Texas, but let's try to keep him in Ohio. Let's get the new coach on board, and make a huge splash and pursue this QB. I know it is a longshot, but let's shoot for the stars. Big Ben was a MAC QB who will be in the HOF. Use that approach that he can achieve greatness from the MAC and Akron. Ewers had a 7 figure NIL agreement. Let's have some Akron businesses step up and match it and let's make a push for this guy. Worst case, it shows the top players that Akron means business as the roster gets many top transfers as the youngsters mature.
Go Zips
The odds that he had a 7 figure NIL seems plausible as long as two of the figures appeared to the right of the decimal point.

Are you questioning my abilities!💪
I believe the Captain completely overlooked the fact that you have never thrown a D1 interception. That's something you can be proud of.

I think Akron should hire the guy who coached Oregon to a win over THE osu.
Not so sure about the guy who coached Oregon against the Utes.

How is that possible? FBS caps scholarships at 85.
Anytime there is a coaching change, especially one that brings in a new scheme, there is going to be some turnover. You see it everywhere and not just at the college level. When a new defensive coordinator switches from a 4-3 base defense to a 3-4 they need plyers with a different skillset to fit needs. Not all 4-3 DE can make the switch to a 3-4 LB. I'd expect 30 new faces on next years roster and an additional 30 new faces the year thereafter. That equates to about a 51% roster turnover
I didn't expect Grandma to understand, but you - come on.
An exception allowed because the NCAA granted everyone a redshirt year due to COVID.

Curious...how many players on the 2021 roster were not given a scholarship or a damn dime for their commitment to the team, encompassing; practices, team meetings, personal time sacrifices, summer camp, weight training, mandatory study time, ....? I haven't found the number anywhere I've looked.
There are 117 payers on the 2021 roster and 90 on scholarship; so the answer to your question is 27.
What's your point?

If a coach brings in a player, he mostly will be biased toward him. He plays him because it justifies his choice. Human nature. New coach recruits have the advantage. What coach ever said, "Ya, I brought you here, but there's a guy that's been on the team for 3 years that will start ahead of you?" 😂 I don't think a new coach has a clue who he's inheriting except for the previous coaches' darlings he's seen on films. I have a soft spot for the guys that didn't quit after the whole Arth-in-charge fiasco.
I think your thinking is spot on here; if the coach uses female logic.

Couldn't Solich have gotten a high P5 coordinator or lower-end P5 HC position post-Huskers? Why would he go to lowly struggling G5 OU?
As I have mentioned in previous posts, Frank had some off-field issues that P5 programs wanted to avoid.

How much is Akron going to pay for a new football coach?
Arth salary was around $500,000
Joe Moorhead salary this year as Oregon offensive coordinator was $1,150,000.
So we have demonstrated our willingness to pay $500k per year for a D1 win. If we pay the new coach $1.15m any more than 2 wins per year and we are ahead of the game.

FWIW, Footballscoop dot com posted this link breaking the news of Arth joining UA on 12/14, and the University announced it later that day.
They posted this link earlier this morning, playing off the other rumors and adding a sentence that the deal could be done today.
The excitement is certainly at a higher level...let's hope it's not all smoke and mirrors to drum up interest.

Here's hoping that next year all the football Zips play as if the hair on their ganuccies has turned to steel wool (or not if this is bad).

Ms. Mishler-Elmore writes an interesting article. I was surprised to learn that Getsy played QB for the Zips while he was in college. I had always thought he played for the Zips before he was in college. Also impressed by the quote about Getsy made by the fired coach Arth. Keep up the fine work Beth.

Again, they pretty much have to wait until these other schools finish their regular seasons at least. If an assistant is taking a head coaching job the school would likely release him prior to any bowl game. I still keep liking the idea of bringing in someone who has had some fairly successful head coaching experience elsewhere. Not Petrino! Don't need his crap here. Got enough problems here.
How old is Doc Holliday? How long has he been retired. That's an interesting name to me.
Things may start to crystallize a little after this weekend.
If he hadn't died in 1887, John Henry "Doc" Holliday would have turned 170 last August.

The Thundering Herd comes to the JAR next Wednesday to face the 3-3 Zips. The Herd is 4-1 heading into a game against Indiana this Saturday.
The Herd is one of my favorite regular OOC games. The games are generally competitive and D'Antoni's up tempo offense is always fun to watch.
Here's hoping some home cooking helps the Zips shooting.
Also working in the Zip's favor is the fact that they no longer have to worry about an at-large bid to the dance.

I was actually alluding to the fact that nobody has been echoing your ZI PS on this site.
I was hoping that nobody would realize I am a $uckeye fan who likes to credit everything in the universe to that place in Columbus, but you have uncovered the horrible truth.
