  5. Absolutely proud of the way this team responded after the early faux pas and after they went down a man. I told them so when they came off the field! I'm happy they have 4 days before SIUE at home Friday night. Carlo told me he should be ready Friday.

  7. My point was that the match v BUGS was just as important at the time. Please explain if you believe it was not. This match will be tough. WMU is very good (referring to their 2019 results and their current RPI). We can't afford to lose focus...100% full-time Akron Soccer effort required. Hopefully, a decent contingent of Zips Men's Soccer fans make their way to Kalamazoo tomorrow. It's a 2 pm match. Head up their by 9 am; be home by 9 pm. Nice Sunday drive. Please, those who can, let's do our part to support our team. I don't think this is an exact address, but 4502 Campus Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49008 should get you close enough to find it. GO ZIPS!!!

  14. ??? https://www.uakron.edu/ogc/legal-policies-and-procedures/records/frequently-asked-questions-regarding-public-records.dot Who can make a request for public records? Any person can request public records by simply asking for them. Usually, the request can be made in any manner the requester chooses: by phone, in person, or in an e-mail or letter. The requester cannot be required to identify him- or herself, or to explain why the records are being requested, unless a specific law requires it. Often, however, a voluntary discussion about the requester’s purposes or interest in seeking certain information can aid the public office in locating and producing the desired records. What is a "public record"? A public record means any records kept by any public office, except those records that are otherwise identified as exempt under the Ohio Public Records Act or the release of which is prohibited by state or federal law. Ohio Revised Code § 149.011(G): As used in this chapter, "records" include [1] any document, device, or item, regardless of physical form or characteristic; [2] created or received by or coming under the jurisdiction of any public office of the state or its political subdivisions; [3] which serves to document the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the office. Are there fees for retrieving and copying records? The law allows us to require prepayment of costs associated with producing copies, including copying and mailing expenses. Generally, the University may charge only its actual cost of producing copies of the records.
  15. This one will be interesting with former Zips Men's Soccer assistant coach TJ Kolba now an assistant with MSU. MSU brings a 2-6-3 record into their match with the Zips. Last match was a draw with Maryland in East Lansing. The other 2 ties were 0-0 v SIUE and 1-1 v Florida Gulf Coast, both also in East Lansing. Wins include 3-0 at Rutgers and a 2-1 OT win at Wisconsin. Losses include v Washington (0-1), v Cornell (1-2 OT), at Dartmouth (1-2), v Western Michigan (0-1), v Notre Dame (0-1), v Penn St (0-3)
  16. Steve Zakuani indirectly helping USMNT ... (I bet Steve is a great high school soccer coach.)
  17. Daniel Strachan has done well wherever he has been asked to play this season. That Captain's armband is a great fit.
  18. Yes! What he said!!! MASSIVE understatement.
  19. @DannyHoke you make some good points. However, I find interesting your choice of coach's salary increase for which you chose to voice your disdain. What about the colossal waste of funds in buying out the last year of Terry Bowden's contract and buying Tom Arth out of his contract to bring him to UA. UA doesn't have those kind of funds. Some will argue that Football got such and such a payout from their Big games. Yes, that is true, but those funds should not have been wasted on buyouts. Let Bowden coach his last year, and then go after your new coach. To this day, I do not understand the fascination with Tom Arth, but it seems to be in line with the continued lack of skill in hiring a football coach. Don't bother to interview candidates and really screen them. Businesses have figured out how to interview and interact with potential job candidates to really get a feel for how they might perform. That doesn't seem to be the case for UA Athletics. How do you get Rob Ianello...Oh, he's from here or there; he knows Barry Alvarez,How do you get Tom Arth..Oh he has connections to D3 college football in Ohio. ... Who cares? What does that have to do with recruiting and motivating players and knowing what to do on game day. This is Arth's first year; maybe there is an upside, but I don't see it. Watching his press conference following yesterday's Wagon Wheel debacle was almost as painful as watching those of Rob Ianello. I had to stop just a few minutes in.
