  1. It really comes down to getting 350k to play at UTC or 1+ mil to play an ATM game. If we're even allowed to do that. Easy choice imo
  2. It's rare that a new staff comes in and keeps anyone from the old staff. Coaches have their own networks and an idea of the staff before they take the job.. I liked Mounds and so did the players, but if we win, they'll like the new guy too.
  3. We were spoiled. $10 is a steal at most decent sporting events. I might even be crazy enough to argue that free parking even contributed to our games feeling more like a small time event. Even if it was pretty nice though
  4. I agree but we don't have much falling around the rim either..
  5. Can't finish at the rim or we could be up fifteen
  6. I hope Arth brings someone in at OC that can call a good game. Xs and Os are Xs and Os no matter what level you're at, if you're from NEO or not. Outside the box thinking can help sometimes. I've posted this before, but it's a great story. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21862192/oklahoma-state-cowboys-mike-gundy-offensive-coordinator-internet
  7. Or you could just behave yourself and use it as a recruiting tool and a way to engage your fanbase.
  8. Unfortunately with our athletic department, I'm not sure if we'll ever hear much with Arth not having twitter. Though I'm sure there'll be a press release when everyone is finalized. But it'd be nice to hear the ones that signed as they happen.
  9. Winning brings Joe Akron out, if anything. They don't care who the heck the coach is when we're winning 4 or 5 games a year
  10. Good point. Not many, especially in college
  11. Pro teams do.. but I feel like it's very rare, if it happens at all, to do it in college with the limit on assistants. Guess we'll see
  12. Though I'm not sure how many schools have ILB and OLB coaches
  13. I'd assume he isn't handling ILB too or he just would have had the LB Coach title. Unless that initial post is inaccurate
  14. I think we have 6 teams that regularly make it to bowls that do not have good bowl coaches outside of Solich. Coaching for a bowl game is a different animal. You have a few weeks to figure out when/how hard to practice, gameplan out the a**, figure out what the opponent will be switching up, etc. It's not that we have inferior teams, because the MAC handles itself well OOC early in the year. They just don't do it at the end of the year when the variables are a little different.
  15. Woof. WMU was the only underdog too
  16. D-Line coach
  17. Good stuff. I'm not holding the zero signings against him, in fact I think it was the right move to ask kids to wait to meet him. I don't think we'll fill up a class at this point, so I think honoring old offers might have been the right thing to do.. but I get it. Looking forward to the article
  18. We have zero signees and we're rescinding old offers? Not the greatest start
  19. Did you read the "this year" part?
