My ideal schedule would be a tournament similar to what we had this year with a ranked opponent or two, a money game at WVU, OSU or Pitt.. and home and homes with a selection of teams in similar boats as us: Illinois State, Western Kentucky, Fort Wayne, MTSU, Marshall, Murray State, Valpo, Oakland, Vermont, Belmont.. There are enough schools that we could find 4 or 5 to put on our schedule each year.

The MVC isn't anything to right home about without Wichita and Creighton. A-10 would look at us similarly and say no thanks. I view the MWC as a comparable and even though they are down, they're usually around the MAC at the end of the day. It would allow each conference to play some games in some new territory as well.

I'm going to go on a limb and guess most of us were a little worried this one might be ugly heading into it. A few too many unforced turnovers and a few too many times we were too slow getting back on D were the difference. Good and bad to the UB matchup. They aren't heavy on frontcourt scoring, so they won't kill us down low. On the glass half empty view, they are guard heavy, just as we are... only theirs are a little bigger and better. Zips are gonna need their A game

UB can probably afford one more loss and get an at large. At large naturally means you are losing in the MACCG, and so they must win out until then. I'd put the odds of that as not too high at this point.
