Fake punt time

Had the option read right and the middle linebacker got sucked in

Kick it. Can't come up empty handed two straight trips inside the ten

Kato needs to keep his composure

Wow that was ugly. Glad to see Edwards get up

Okay guess FAU can't take penalties tonight

LBs caught looking in the backfield on that pump on the wheel route
-
FAU fans claimed they hate short fields, so I guess they'll be happy with having to go 80 yards here

I knew we were in trouble when he got sacked. Decent drive but have to get points out of them

I like Lane but this love fest is old already

DiNucci may be a decent MAC QB. His note says he is transferring for his final two years of eligibility, which I think is hinting at 1-AA since he's a redshirt sophomore and would only have 1 year at a 1-A school

This doesn't mean that he isn't leaving after next year. It just means FAU will get paid when he leaves.
I'm assuming it's a hefty buyout, but yeah

Kiffin just signed a 10 year deal.
Wow I really thought he'd be gone after another successful year. Good for him and FAU.

Trademark or not, pretty low-rent and lazy to use the same exact name.

Man times have changed. Our video game arena was just my dorm room in the Honors college.

Nov 2013 OU lost to #10 ranked OSU 69-79.
Wow 4 years ago. Time flies
That was the year we beat them in that wild 2OT game. One of the best recent games I can remember.

And people question why OSWho would never put us on their schedule? It's a nothing-to-gain situation for the Hoosier to play a D-1 team so close to them, win or lose.
OSU hosted OU a year or two ago. I'm not so sure that's a correct statement

At the end of the day, that pretty much is just a watered down Brackbuster even though

That IS scary! ?
I would give as an additional reason for the demise of the event was that the only teams that benefited at all from it were those -- what, ten percent of the total teams involved? -- who received a televised game on ESPN. For the rest it was a drudgery of having to either travel often long distances, or play a sudden non-conference game against a school with no name recognition. I can't remember ever hearing a favorable comment about bracket busters from a Hawaii Rainbow Warrior fan -- even when they had the great gift of traveling to play at the MAC Center against the Golden Flashes...
Akron was one of the few schools who had fairly regular TV appearances and games against teams who participated in the post-season.
I personally enjoyed not just our team's involvement, but the televised mid-major games across the country. I think the only way to fashion something similar would be for the MAC to partner with another conference like the MVC or similar for a "challenge" type event. Would ESPN or CBSCS be interested in showing that? Maybe - maybe not...
That would be an interesting event. Have a couple conferences that would participate hold a challenge, only in February instead of the November time frame the B1G and ACC use. Then the conferences could hash out matchups to help bolster a tournament resume. With ESPN having some input naturally.

I miss the old "Bracket Buster" match ups.
They were great, plus it was a lot of fun predicting what our matchup might end up being. Good times.
