Commack said he was transferring to UA over winter break. Whether he makes it onto the football team is up in the air, but I do believe he went through with the transfer.

Keep a mental edge? I would argue that we haven't been displaying one since we began MAC play. It's time to snap out of the funk and really blow teams away.

Scout recently bumped him up to three stars, and rated him the #66 best QB in the class of 2012. It's not often that Akron gets a player ranked above #75 for a position (unless it's a specialist position like kicker or center). Rivals has him as a soft verbal, but I hope that coach Bowden can keep him. I'm very excited about this prospect. He may be our best recruit in several years. Our QB situation is fairly solid, despite the play from that position for the past two years. Nobody we had fit with the system we were trying to run. But they have played well in an up-tempo no huddle offense. As of now, we have the following at QB: Patrick Nicely, Clayton Moore, Zach D'Orazio, Kyle Pohl, Curtis Watson, Tyrell Goodman, and Steve Franco. Somebody will emerge. Take a look at what these players have accomplished in high school, who else was recruiting them, what kind of honors they received, and you'll know that somebody can step up.
