Fundamentally sound baseball is fun to watch. I think Zips baseball could do much better than they have been and be more enjoyable to watch. The improvements to the outdoor athletics complex around the baseball stadium will help too. The previous coach constantly made baffling personnel decisions that really damaged the team's sense of consistency. I trust that coach Rembielak won't make that same mistake. That alone might be enough to make the team more competitive in the MAC. Coach should also be able to draw better local talent to the team. I want a good baseball team on campus. NE Ohio is a strong baseball area, but the college game has been lagging behind, in part because of UA's own baseball woes. Competing consistently with Can't and developing a rivalry like we have in basketball where we're duking it out with them near the top of the conference standings would be huge for UA. We need a strong spring sport because it helps keep the university on the minds of sports fans and alumni for a few months instead of drifting away after basketball. We can be good in the MAC in baseball. There's no reason why we can't. And it can be fun to watch.

Unless he plays out of his mind in the MAC tourney and gets us to the sweet 16 or better, he'll be back. He still needs to learn how to take over a game consistently. He's heading down that path, but he's not quite there, especially on offense.

4-5 is certainly possible. Good coaching and playcalling fundamentals can go a long way.

Just discovered this. Don't know if anybody here uses Steam, but there is a group for UA students, alumni, and fans out there. I think it would be cool to see it grow into something strong. Anything wanting to foster a sense of UA pride is a good thing in my books.

It's an unwritten rule. I don't think they've ever broken it.

Because every game, it seems like at least one starter and one bench player is having an off night. But we don't know who it will be until maybe 10 minutes into the game. It takes until the second half to figure out who we need to get the ball to in order to win the game. The day everybody plays well is the day we win by 40 points.

ESPN and Scout finally added him to their sites. Only new info is his weight of 170lbs.

Word has it that there were NBA scouts from five different teams at the game yesterday. Likely taking a look at Jones and Zeke, but I believe that we have some other players that might catch their attention as someone to keep an eye on.

This was a hugely important win. With the new MAC tournament format, we now compete directly against the leaders of the West for one of the two top seeds, which get double-byes.

Just because we have it won, don't let up. We need to blow away everyone from here on out.

We have yet to lead at halftime in a MAC game this year. I expect that to change in the coming weeks.
