From what I saw, the foul occurred inside the box but the ref decided that it happened exactly on the line of the box. So he awarded the Zips a free kick from the line instead of giving the Zips a PK.

Somebody on the BigSoccer.com forums saved me a lot of time and ranked all the RPIs by conference. It's worth a look, especially since we might find ourselves looking to move in a few years.Looking at the local conferences, the Big East is full at 16 members so we couldn't join them unless they split. Same goes for the A-10 conference.The Big Ten has 7 teams, but I don't know how they feel about letting an "outsider" join. A National Championship might grab their attention. The Horizon League doesn't look that good aside from Butler and Green Bay, and might actually drag down the SOS more than the MAC.I like the MVC and C-USA, and I think either would accept the program with open arms. Big Ten would be my top choice, though, if at all possible.

About the running game, Tuzze is great between the tackles and maybe Shane is showing the other RBs his film and saying "this is what a hole looks like at this level, so that's where you are going to run" instead of having all the other backs try to run to the sideline and turn the corner.

That really is the question, isn't it? As incredibly bad as this year has been, I get the feeling that things could be far worse which is kind of frightening.You know what? Now that I think about it, I don't think that hitting "rock bottom" would help at all. In fact it would be terrible. The pieces are in place to improve greatly, what good would it be to scramble them up further? The farther down we go, the harder it is to climb out.

F ESPN. Just another thing to say "F-you" to.We can't worry about this crap. If anything, this is the most publicized story involving the Zips we've had all year.There's something in marketing that I think is called "association". The marketing genious GP1 can correct me if my terminology is off. But the idea is that when you put two things together, they become linked in the target's mind. Thigns like catchy jingles, logos, and that type of stuff are the basic forms, but it can also work between two different brands. There will be some people who will read this and it will brand the Zips forever as a crappy team on a crappy list, but there are others who will see the ESPN logo then see the Zips logo and will get the idea that the Zips are significant enough for ESPN to cover them. There is no such thing as bad press.

The Zips will win this game 23-13.It's go time! I don't give a F about injuries, coaching, schemes, or any of that crap. This game in on the individual players to go out and kick @$$. I know some of them read this. I'm putting it on them to spread this attitude to the entire team, or at least their unit.
