  1. Our players are plenty used to loud and obnoxious students, believe me. Both our own, and the other MAC teams'.
  2. Two. Two cupcakes. Ah. Ah. Ah.
  3. Akron is a 14-point favorite. The Zips will cover and then some.
  4. http://coyotesports.proboards100.com/index...=454&page=4USD message board.Apparently at least one of them knew they were playing us since January 16th.
  5. NIU is arguably the worst team in the NCAA. You can give them every possible opportunity to win a game, and they'll find a way to lose.
  6. Going into overtime. There's a reason NIU is in the worst 2% of the teams in the NCAA. They fouled while they had the lead with under a minute to go.
  7. The only reason Can't was in this game was Singletipsy, and he just fouled out with 2 minutes to go.
  8. Of course she comes back for Akron. Any time a MAC player gets suspended for DUI, they're only suspended until they play us.
  9. This game will end up something around 100-23. Sweich will get three dunks before half time.
  10. Our smack forum is sadly under-utilized.
  11. It is not etched in stone, but SDSU was the odds-on favorite as of late last week.Contracts probably the holdup for that game, but word came from Coach Ferri so its very credible. Just wondered- whats everyone elses opinion on playing YSU?? Yes theyre 1AA but they would bring fans, name recognition, and we do have a history with them. Lets not forget we payed a reported $300,000.00 tp bring in N TX a couple years ago to fill the schedule, and they brought maybe 6 fans with them and "0" local interest. Sorry to hear about the loss of the Steiner family ( our newest local recruit)YSU's AD won't schedule us with out a return game. We're not going to play there due to MAC conference rules, so they won't play here. I would gladly thump them in front of several thousand of their own fans at the Info, but it won't get scheduled.
  12. Wow. That's terrible. Sounds like it was completely unexpected.
  13. 15. The effect of a win streak like this one is almost non-existant. The much-improved coverage in the newspapers get maybe an extra 100 people to attend home games. What this does is build a pseudo-fanbase. It puts us in their minds, and then when something big happens they will come out of the woodwork. The ONLY way to see a significant increase in home attendance, and maybe get some local TV coverage, is to win the MAC tournament and get into the NCAA tourney. Even then, the only way most people around here will finally notice that we are there is when they begin to fill out their brackets for March Madness pools. Even THEN we are an afterthought until we pull off an upset and screw up everybody's brackets. You see the challenge ahead of this team?
  16. SDSU's not saying much of anything about anything. The one forum I found could barely be qualified as active.
  17. A very good article appeared on ESPN about our recruiting class.Apparently we're getting 10 guys, 8 of which are named and two top-secret guys.http://sports.espn.go.com/highschool/rise/...tory?id=3887159
  18. I remember Nate saying that his goals for the season hadn't changed. He wanted to win the MAC, and it didn't matter how young the team would be.
  19. Is it possible that by the end of the season this team will be even better than last year? The progress this year has been amazing.
  20. Complete disaster averted. Two cupcakes to go. 4-0 against the West.I really like our remaining schedule. The only game that will likely cause trouble is at Buffalo and they've looked beatable lately. Miami, OU, Ball State and BG are at the JAR, Can't isn't all that good, and Valpo doesn't look too tough.
  21. Maybe it's no longer bugged. We technically weren't supposed to be able to listen online before anyways. What's up with all the website upgrades lately? Looks like Web Design and programming aren't being affected as much as other jobs.
  22. The referees today are supposed to be top notch. They've done quite a few final fours between them.
  23. Akron 67, WMU 35. Seriously.
  24. Ever since our recruiting class was announced with 24 players, I was wondering where all the extra scholarships were coming from.I have my answer now, thanks to Rasor's Blog. This is probably also the reason a 4-3 defense isn't being considered. There are five players that have transferred to other schools.Gary Pride and Jose Cruz, arguably two guys that would have an impact on the offense this year are gone. Also gone are three defensive linemen: Freshmen Shane Shead and Blake Smith, along with Senior Mitchell Magliore, presumably due to concerns about getting playing time.I wish them all the best of luck where ever they choose to go, but I consider this a good sign. It means we're greatly increasing the talent level on the defensive line. Getting that Will Clarke guy would be the capstone on a major overhaul of the talent level.
  25. SDSU coming here would be interesting. But I would rather have a Sunbelt team.
