  1. Trimmy10, try here. My BBCode isn't working, so you have to copy and paste.http://www.1350radiofreeohio.com/main.html
  2. Looks like we got ourselves some homer refs. 4 team fouls within the first 4 minutes.
  3. Thanks guys. Apparently I was using the wrong web browser. I guess they forgot to code for Opera.
  4. Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't the whole point of the Zippy pass so you don't have to go through the hassle of getting tickets every time you go to a game?
  5. If it's true, he is not very smart. I bet that if he stays and is able to keep focused, he would be at most a 5th rounder. But right now... not so much.
  6. Tomorrow's game will have MAC East implications. It is our first chance to see just how well the Zips stack up against the best in the MAC. If they play like they did against Nevada, I am pretty confident that they will win in Athens. Right now the line is Akron +1.
  7. With the amount of talent we have already on the team and the next recruiting class coming in, it is pretty reasonable to expect a winning season, or at the very least a 6-6 season. If there are exceptional circumstances, such as injuries to multiple key players, then I am willing to make an exception. Last years schedule would be an example of an exception because travelling so many weeks in a row takes a toll on the students not only physically, but mentally and academically, too. Honestly, I like what JD is doing and would like to keep him around as long as we can. We need some kind of consistancy in UA athletic programs, and getting a new coach every 4-5 years and having to rebuild the program from scratch in the hopes of getting it right the first time is not the answer. JD still needs time to tinker with his system to see what works best.
  8. The loss to Marshall was a classic let-down game. Lets hope that it puts them in enough of a funk that they lose to the Zips this weekend.
  9. I saw that too. I did a double-take looking for Akron, but it just shows that ESPN really is clueless outside of the "high-major" conferences. They just pick whoever has the best record/RPI at the time and automatically assume that they will win the conference, even though conference play hasn't even started yet.
  10. http://www.rpiforecast.com/I'm not sure how anyone can accurately predict how things will turn out at the end of the regular season, but they have us going 22-6 with an RPI of about 78. If we win at Ohio, this will all change, and the possibility of winning out in the MAC is opened up. It may still not be enough to get an at-large bid if we lose in the MAC finals, but it is pretty respectable considering our weak schedule.
  11. It would take an undefeated season, or a one loss season to an extremely good team. That should be just enough to get us into a BCS game. Then we would have to win the bowl game against one of the top 10 teams in the country. Getting there is not enough. The only way to earn the respect of the "big boys" is by beating them on a consistant basis, like Gonzaga does in basketball. Boise State did it, and TCU would have done it last year if the new rules were in place. They proved that it can be done, now it is up to us to actually do it.
  12. BG is without a doubt the biggest game of the season for the lady Zips, if only because they are in the MAC. Starting out the conference season on the right foot is very important, and knocking off a ranked team would generate some buzz for the program. What time is the game? If I can find time, I will be there to cheer our lady Zips on to victory.
  13. The amount of Akron fans there was impressive considering the fact that there was absolutely nothing in the newspaper to let people know there was a game. Just wait until the students return for the spring semester. We should see a couple of sellouts at the JAR.

Now we can finally look foward to Ohio. A win there would be huge and I think we can do it. This season is going to be fun to watch.
  15. 4 fouls each for Wood and Travis. We really have to watch that.
  16. Crap. The stupid refs got the crowd into the game.
  17. We better come out of halftime shooting like mad if we want to win. If YSU is allowed to gain momentum early, it will pose a huge problem for the Zips.
