  1. Waaaaay too many fouls. we are already at the 10 foul limit.
  2. What's with all of our fouls? We should be better than that. 30-18 Zips
  3. My signal sucks, but that's because I am listening on a 40" stereo from 1980.
  4. Binghamton looks like they have never played basketball before.
  5. 19-6 Akron, 11:47 left in the half
  6. The Zips look to make it a five game winning streak tonight, as they travel to Binghamton, NY. Apparently Romeo and Drew will never shake off their ties to LeBron, no matter what they do, as seen here: http://www.bupipedream.com/pipeline_web/di...cle.php?id=3708 I can't find a line on this game, just like last game. It makes me wonder if Vegas is afraid to make predictions for the Zips any more, after beating the spread almost every game for an entire year now.
  7. Apparently we had a bad night. We dropped 3 spots in the Sagarins.As of Dec 6 at 10:07 AMAkron #83 -3Teams in D-1 we've played:Arkansas-Little Rock #254 -28Gardner-Webb #314 +9Niagara #260 +3Oral Roberts #114 +7Net change: -9Our remaining OOC schedule:Binghamton #269 -1Winston-Salem #334 0Illinois-Chicago #139 +43St. Francis (PA) #300 +2Nevada #11 +1Loyola Marymount #112 +10Youngstown State #262 +2Duquesne #265 -22Net change: +35MAC conference:Can't State #78 -5Buffalo #129 -15Toledo #107 +10Miami #121 -2Ohio #116 +7WMU #127 +6NIU #186 -45Ball State #178 +13Bowling Green #199 +2CMU #211 +4EMU #289 -15Net change: -42That loss to UALR is killing us right now. On the bright side, our remaining OOC schedule is looking good. We need our own conference to do much better, though.
  8. We could claim it is a parody, which is protected under the first ammendment should they decide to sue. They won't sue, though, because whenever someone reads the back of the shirt the first thing they think of is Bud Lite which is free advertising for them.
  9. It is a poll made up of various coaches from all of the mid-major conferences. It is basically a coaches' poll. The voters are at the bottom of the page, I think. It is sponsored by collegeinsider.com
  10. That site is almost a mirror of the AP poll right now. As I said, these numbers will change significantly as the season goes on. Nevada is still the one true non-conference test for the Zips. Thanf goodness it is at the JAR. Maybe we will get a good Bracket Buster game to give us a boost.
  11. It doesn't help that the MAC has only 6 teams with winning records, even though the conference schedules supposedly weak OOC teams.
  12. Wolstein is doind this because it gives him an excuse to build shopping centers and restarants around the stadium. Honestly, more comercialization is the LAST thing Macedonia needs at this time. Traffic is already a nightmare, and a stadium/shopping center would just make it worse. That is why I don't want a stadium, not because it has anything to do with UA.
  13. This is according to the sagarin ratings, since I can't find an RPI rating yet.As of Dec 5 at 12:05 PMAkron #80Teams in D-1 we've played:Arkansas-Little Rock #226Gardner-Webb #323Niagara #263Oral Roberts #121Our remaining OOC schedule:Binghamton #268Winston-Salem #334Illinois-Chicago #182St. Francis (PA) #302Nevada #12Loyola Marymount #122Youngstown State #264Duquesne #243MAC conference:Can't State #73Buffalo #114Toledo #117Miami #119Ohio #123WMU #133NIU #141Ball State #191Bowling Green #201CMU #215EMU #274These numbers will change dramatically before the conference schedule starts, which is basically when your RPI is set for the rest of the season. We have to beat Nevada, and win out.(I will update this as often as I can. Teams will play other teams, and the more different teams hook up, the more complex and accurate these ratings will become)
  14. http://www.ohio.com/mld/ohio/news/16166946.htmhttp://www.ohio.com/mld/ohio/news/16166932.htmWhich one do you agree with? They were both in the paper today, side by side. Anyone opposed to the stadium is encouraged to write to their website in the articles. It looks like the first article was "bought" by the Wolsteins, and the second article is the real view of the paper.
  15. It's about time. We didn't move from our spot in the preseason poll. That's not bad considering the number of "suprise" teams out there this year.
  16. I've never rooted for a school just because it in Ohio. That would be silly. I root for Akron because I am a student there, and I root for a few other teams because I have friends playing on them (Tyrell Sutton, for example, is the reason I root for Northwestern). I don't want to get into this whole debate again.
  17. Anyone know what time these new rankings might be out? They still got the preseason rankings up. Weird. The date says it is November 6th. Maybe that is when they actually vote, and the poll comes out tommorow?
  18. I didn't go because I was at work in Willoughby. Man, that drive sucked. I was trying to get a score, but I couldn't find anything. At least the lady Zips got a win.
  19. Michigan probably had a better shot at beating OSU than Florida. Hey, I'm just glad the BCS screwed up again because it's about time for a 16-team playoff.
  20. Oh, I forgot to mention, the next Mid-Major Top 25 comes out tomorrow. Look for us to be in the top ten in that one.http://www.collegeinsider.com/mmpoll/
  21. Where was that Morgan guy, you know... the Zips beat writer for the ABJ? Shouldn't he have written something about this? Maybe he did but the editor or the page designer decided to screw us one more time, out of tradition. Either way, someone is at fault. Maybe it was the entire nation that ignored us, since there wasn't even a vegas line on the game and ESPN still showed that the game was in the 1st quarter when it had ended an hour before I checked. The only way wewill get any attention is to beat Nevada, so don't expect to get any votes in the polls.
