  1. Major changes to the starting lineup. Melo, Diggs, Kretzer, Harney, Tree. Not surprised. Forsythe was just awful vs Toledo, letting players get behind him under the basket all game long. Really strange how bad his footwork and positioning were, the worst he looked all season.
  2. He seems to be enjoying shopping around for a new school. http://louisville.scout.com/a.z?s=17&p...%2f1368024.html (Scout Insider article)
  3. The players we do have committed are good. Kincade, Boxen, and Williams are all very exciting, and Grover is 3rd in the country at his position.
  4. Still a lot of scholarships to fill, and the recruiting class is shrinking instead of growing. JUCO recruiting is notoriously difficult to follow, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few names that we didn't know about show up on signing day. I also expect a 5th year transfer or two to come in. We seem to have pretty good success with them. Still, that makes for a fairly small recruiting class.
  5. As I post this, we are two weeks away from National Signing Day. As far as I can gather, here is where we stand: Confirmed: Greyshirt from 2013, WR Anthony Lauro CB Kris Givens, Holmes Community College, Goodman, MS CB Bernard Willingham, Glades Central HS, Belle Glade, FL DE Brock Boxen, Beaver Falls HS, Beaver Falls, PA QB Chandler Kincade, Blackhawk HS, Beaver Falls, PA LS Hayden Grover, Spencer-Van Etten HS, Spencer, NY ATH Blake Dennis, Rittman HS, Rittman, OH LB Travonte Junius, St. Vincent-St. Mary HS, Akron, OH LB Newman Williams, St. Vincent-St.Mary HS, Akron, OH Unconfirmed: OL Leon Richardson, Walled Lake Western HS, Walled Lake, MI WR Jordan George, Archbishop Alter HS, Dayton, OH "Committed", but looking elsewhere: CB Kyron Brown, Boynton Beach Community HS, Boynton Beach, FL CB Trumaine Washington, Killian HS, Miami, FL

  7. Assuming Big Dog's conditioning improves.
  8. Did I say that he should never be allowed to play on the team? We need this scholarship to recruit a four-year player. Do any of us want to possibly miss out on four years of another JD Weatherspoon because we used our only scholarship on a player that will be gone in a year and won't be able to contribute at the same level he did when he left?
  9. And now Washington just got an offer from Syracuse. The Orange are already trying to steal our other CB commit Kyron Brown. My guess is that T Buck was recruiting higher-level players than some might have thought, and now the BCS vultures are swooping in.
  10. No to Abreu unless its as a walk-on.
  11. The seats next to the band are reserved for recruits and other visitors. There are never more than a handful there.
  12. Apparently it's not worth it, since it NCAA.com is clearly just doing this for the advertising revenue. It's not like UA needs additional scholarship money, anyway.
  13. Their struggles are not puzzling at all. When you only have five contributors on a team, neutralizing any of those players has a greater impact on that team's overall performance. Take away two players with defense, and they'll struggle.
  14. Toledo is more style than substance. While their starting five all average double-digit points per game, they have very little depth. They give up 74 points per game, and rely on fast-paced scoring more than defense.
  15. I feel like if this was real, Twitter would have been blowing up about it by now. Especially the Browns fans who have been clamoring for a Tressel interview.
  16. This is the same guy who had Bowling Green as one of the top 5 basketball programs in Ohio. Who cares what he has to say about this game?
  17. I'm really hoping that the Cavs send down Bennett for this game.
  18. Pitt has a nasty habit of losing to the cupcake team on their schedule.
  19. It's not about knowing who wins, it's about winning a scholarship for the university. Goodness knows UA could use the money.
  20. Hopefully there's a decent crowd tonight, even though all the hype is for the Saturday double-header. I took a shortcut through the JAR today, and the team was practicing. They'll be focused tonight, even if the fans aren't.
  21. Hmm. It keeps telling me that it's a duplicate vote if I do it that way. Should I be clearing my cache between votes?
  22. It's not that. The fans just aren't voting properly to get their votes recorded. Only one tweet/retweet per twitter account per day counts. Best way to vote is to to tweet once, then vote on the site using Facebook. That's two votes, and that's all you can do unless you happen to have multiple accounts for one of those.
  23. I've seen these in a few places. Mainly in larger cities and college campuses. It's just another option to rent a car, which makes sense in a place where a large percentage of people do not own cars.
  24. After just two games, nine of the twelve MAC teams already have at least one conference loss.
  25. Or post things like this more often. Sometimes it helps to call them out on something.
