32 pages before being hijacked, not bad.

Topic started this morning. Can you guys please take 10 seconds before starting a thread and see if what you have to type fits in one of the topics started already? Not specifically picking on this thread, it's happened multiple times this week with the higher traffic.

I thought this was one of the more interesting threads from October that popped in my head last night while watching the game.

The coach is responsible for making sure the team is ready to play. He must have a game plan and be able to communicate it to his team. I heard KD during the week tell us he knows VCU's system and "we'll be fine." We wern't. During the game, it's his responsible for making any necessary adjustments that helps the team be successful. Put the kids in position to be great. Was this accomplished last night, or were we just devoid of that much talent? If we are, do we need someone to recruit better talent? IMO, the MAC was weak this year, we need stronger competition during the year to prepare us for an NCAA tournament. Like most things, there isn't just one answer, it's a combination. I like what coach Bowden repeats, "we need to find a way to win at Akron." I'll enjoy watching Tree for two more years. I love his effort, it reminds me of Bosley. He plays with a high motor, give me three more Trees please. One last thought, I wrote this the last time we played VCU, I would be interested to see the coaches switch teams and watch the outcome. What do you think Akron's box score would look like?

A lot of MAC fans have had the joy of experiencing the tournament passed round 1 (now round two, whatever). I have not. It's time my school takes that next step. I really don't care if they would "take it" or not. PS I sympathize with you ME87.

I would like to see that game. I could not appreciate the great game that VCU played last night since they were doing it to my school. I want to see them do it to someone else. I'll be rooting for them against Michigan. Man, that game is going to sting us diehards for awhile. I haven't read a good rationalization here yet. The Dr needs a doctor.

I thought one of the better observations by the announcers (I think it was Tom McCarthy) who said "he dribbles the ball too high for a point guard." I think it was also Tom who made the embarrassing quote of the night after Carmelo missed the hoop completely..."they would chant air ball, but empty seats can't chant"...that one hurt.
