University of Akron freshman Imani Davis has an attitude. That’s a good thing.
Davis, a 5-foot-9 recruit from Belen Jesuit Prep in Miami, Fla., walked onto the UA campus as a cornerback, but now is a wide receiver with something to prove.
“I came in with a chip on my shoulder. I have family back home that I want to make proud. The whole offseason I’ve been working my tail off,” he said after Wednesday afternoon’s practice. “The entire summer my trainer just preached and preached to me: ‘Go to college and make an immediate impact as a freshman.’ From that day on I’ve been working out, trying hard and doing what I could.”
A two-way player at Belen, he made all-county as a senior. But when it came time for the college offers to come, he started with four and that eventually dwindled to two before the Zips swooped in with a late offer.

Did you finally close the deal on that truck?I will have plenty of cooking capacity this year for visitors to use.

Put your drinks in a Zips plastic cup, properly dispose of your bottles and cans, and you won't get hassled by the "authorities."

Had the Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter last night on tap. Not bad. Neither flavor was over powering. Nice balance.

I could get Saban 20 more yards of distance off the tee by changing his finish on his swing.

Experts say "unlikely"Penn State's accreditation in danger. -
I don't care about his opinions at all.Who cares what he thinks. If he reports the correct time, date, and if the game will be broadcast, I would be happy.

Wins and coach Bowden will give them a reason to care. Hopefully we are at the beginning of a new era. It's like they don't even care about the school or the program in general.I am trying to erase the last two years from my memory, can you help by leaving the past in the past?
Maybe take the last two schedules and bury them in your backyard.

I would have wore an anti Notre Dame shirt on early week workouts. Can't blame anyone for not wanting to be associated with Ianello's regime, can you?Midweek I would be more subtle and don some anti Minnesota gear.
Late in the week when I was feeling sarcastic, a shirt that read "Spirited Workout" would be nice.

I think this guy might agree with you, but I'm not sure?Local: SwensonChains: Five Guys
I saw this on SI's Extra Mustard today and thought of this thread.
I guess if you ever visit UVA you should try a Gus Burger at White Spot. I did when the Zips played there. Not a fan.

I made bacon infused vodka one time to make martinis with. Wasn't a fan....you are going to have to try the good with the bad. You have to be a sport. I tried the Iron City Light Mango last year!
I tried this on vacation this year and was actually able to drink two bottles. I say I'm not a fruity beer fan, but I'm starting to think I'm lying to myself since I'm also enjoying many Summer Shandy's this year. PS If anybody can explain to me why it is "illegal" for someone in Summit County to buy a keg of Summer Shandy at Superior Beverage, I'm all ears...

...& grows three inches. For Jackson's fans sake. For Clayton's sake, I personally still hope he matures.Dennis Dodd writing about the Zips...impressive. I wish I would have learned something, but I don't think ZN was the intended audience.

No.Does anyone have this knowledge? -
I guess I'm okay with "Camp Zippy" if you reference a kids club that is 12 and under.

The team will play host to "Meet the Zips" on Sunday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. inside Stile Athletics Field House ... the event is free of charge and coaches and players will be available to sign autographs and pose for pictures

Great information, thanks.
Camp Zippy??? Sounds like a camp for kids, or mascots.
