I met Manny at his pub last night for the ten cent tour. Very nice place. Perfect for that area.
The actual bar is as good as it looks in the photo, looks like it can seat 25 plus. Ten taps, usual domestics, Great Lakes, Goose Island 312.
Food is decent, I had wings and qusidillas. Menu has pizza and burgers also. There is a sub shop that rents space from Manny
that is connected, he said he hopes it is open by the weekend. I think there were around eight or so tables with plenty of room, one
pool table, newer type jukebox, golden tee and the game that sits on the bar. For those of you asking about tvs, there are seven, a view
for everybody in the place. The audio was also playing at the time and was easy to hear. They have Dish Network and the bartender
was happy to put any game on you wanted. 64 old dollar bills are displayed from the old place. They also have a vodka cooler for
those that like that sort of thing. They have outside seating in the front of the bar that is very nice also.
The best part IMO is he has a rooftop bar. Very cool and a nice view of the stadium from there. You can't see the field, but its a nice view.
Looked to me like you could get 100 people up there, Manny told me he thinks he could fit more. Rooftop has a full bar that was
getting completed yesterday, and the grand opening is this Saturday. All in all I think things worked out pretty well for him. He has put
a lot of work into the place and seems proud of the results. Stay tuned in 15 years when the university is eligible to file eminent
domain on this property. He also owns another property close, and has future plans of opening a restaurant on it.
Stop in and see him, he is happy to talk to you about the new place.
