So my other, is a back door vote for ZN which is still the best, and most unique place for Zips information minus a few screwballs. The BJ is better since DLM left. The dude was a YSU fan that didn't even like Akron. Tom & Mike do a good job. Elton will give you a nugget now and then, but for the most part I don't enjoy him. I wish he was replaced with somebody passionate. I rarely watch any tv news coverage, but it seems like channel 5 has the best. Is Sportstalk with Steve French still on? That would be my vote for best tv coverage.

No. No we won't, and no we shouldn't. Look at his stats and take a wild stab as to why not.

It is my opinion that this is the only thing that matters. I want to win games. I want the best players on the court that give us the best chance to win. I don't care who practiced well and who didn't. I want the guy that gives our team the best chance to win on the court during the games, because that's what fans come to see, the game. If you don't, then your attendance may suffer.

A billboard has been put up on I-94 in the state that pokes fun at the struggles of Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel. The sign says "Liar, Liar, Vest on Fire," taking Tressel to task for his penchant for wearing sweater vests and his current troubles with the NCAA that has seen the coach be accused of major violations in a notice of allegations to the school. If somebody is looking for a kewl shirt to wear to the game, I bet Columbus fans will buy you a beer when they see this one:

If anybody has any questions to why the mac is terrible, click on the link above. I sure hope this changes, because it's depressing. Makes me think that there is no excuse for the Zips not to compete this season.

He’ll be back: Akron men’s basketball coach Keith Dambrot confirmed earlier this week that 6-8 power forward Nik Cvetinovic will return for his senior season, which should make the Zips, winners of the MAC Tournament, and two-time winners over rival Can't State last season, odds-on favorites to win it all in 2011-12. The Zips did lose one player to transfer, 6-8 Dakotah Euton, but that will be offset by a pair of experienced transfers in 6-5 swingman Chauncy Gilliam from Maryland-Baltimore County, and 6-4 point guard Brian Walsh from Xavier.
