  1. Twinsburg's Aaron, going to watch Ohio vs Miami.
  2. Mamma said "better get yourself a J-O-B, there are enough KSPU pizza delivery boys in Akron." What are the odds that Silverback is the first person in NFL history suspended because of an "illegal" hit? Tennesee game film from this year!?!? The Zips could use three of him. You listen to him speak and you wouldn't think he could find his way to practice, you watch film on him and the guy is rarely out of position in one of the most complex schemes in football.
  3. Deebo, back.
  4. The January 16th game is on NFL Divisional playoff day. So I'll watch one Zips game on TV, I'll make sure to mark my calendar. Sunday, Jan. 16: Akron @ Buffalo, 2 pm ET; Wednesday, Jan. 26: Akron @ NIU, 7:30 pm ET;
  5. Here is a great place for you to post this kind of stuff. Stop it here. Thank you.
  6. I haven't listened to regular radio this decade, I would love to know what he said. Anybody?
  7. It's going to be 65 degrees on Saturday with a 70 percent chance of no rain.
  8. Paraphrasing "highlights" - OU beat us in every phase of the game. - A lot of positions are open, not QB, PN7 will be the starter. - Team is disappointed but we have five games left, three in front of home fans and that's a good opportunity to point program in the right direction. - We will decide who plays in this game on how they practice this week. - Transitions period is not just schemes, it has to do with how you do things on a daily basis. - We are building a program Akron can be proud of.
  9. I hope he throws for 400 yards and loses just like he did against Toledo. So far Carder and his team have only figured out how to beat Nicholls State (whom I have never even heard of) and Ball State. We have GOT to be able to put some assemblance of a game plan together that can compete with that!?!?
  10. Just attention, or for real? Bill Parise, Harrison's agent, confirmed that the linebacker is contemplating retirement, which is why he met with Tomlin this morning."That's exactly true,'' Parise said. "He met with the coach and left for today. He's in the process of contemplating is it possible to play football under these new rules . . . 'if I go to work and tackle somebody and get a fine.'" Parise said there is "no fighting, no arguing," just discussions. He said Harrison has been talking with his coaches, the Steelers, his mother and the agent. Harrison signed a six-year, $51.2 million contract in April 2009 that included a reported $20 million in bonuses. If Harrison would retire before the contract expires, the Steelers could demand he pay back some of those bonuses. Can anybody play ESPiN now-a-days?
  11. Toledo beat him by picking him off FOUR times.. Time to step it up secondary!
  12. You could of bought a photo of the hit on the NFL website if you were quick. According to NFL.com, Harrison is considering retiring now. "I'm going to sit down and have a serious conversation with my coach tomorrow and see if I can actually play by NFL rules and still be effective," Harrison said. "If not, I may have to give up playing football." source
  13. Like Buck-A-Roo?
  14. You forgot the Lake Erie Monster's coach, that guy wouldn't know a dump pass from a dump truck!
  15. Mike Johnson gets Crabtree involved in the gameplan Your welcome Mike.
  16. One week Plain Dealer quotes Browns players saying "it's there job to fly around and break up passes"...this week, not so. "I'd do it again" --TJ Ward (sounds pretty much like Harrison's quote)
  17. Austin Baily.
  18. Browns fans do it year in and year out, why can't Zips fans?
  19. The Cribbs hit was legal, the Massaquoi hit will draw a fine. I think it was Jaws last night that was speaking about the Massaquoi hit, he said he was talking to someone and that person said the QB should be fined for that hit for leading him into the zone, he said he was half kidding. Jaws made the point that there are only about a handful of good QB's in the league right now that are good at recognizing defenses. He said that defenses are so sophisticated now a days that a lot of QB's can't determine man coverage from zone at the snap and end up leading their receivers into a big hit. Interesting perspective. KSPU basketball will get KO'ed this year. Like this little girl
  20. On the positive side, I won't have to stay up late at night and watch Hawaii upset Michigan State at the end of the year to eliminate us.
  21. +1, but I might give Matt a series or two to shake up the defense a little though.
  22. "The first hit (on Cribbs, who was a runner) was legal," Greg Aiello told the Post-Gazette in an email this afternoon. "The second will be reviewed." NFL to review Harrison Hit
  23. That is GREAT news, I hope what you saw transfers over to real games. I think a lot will go right for the Zips if this is true.
  24. Without looking I'm pretty sure we beat KSPU at the hippie campus TWO years ago. Wasn't that the same year we won AT Army and Syracuse (Kenny rant)? Zips Win, if we win today, we may start kidnapping you on game day.
  25. Thanks for the post, I love Sam Ragu. Just for reference, did he also say that Mangini can turn it around?
