If I never watched a Zips basketball game and just listened to KD talk about defense, I would think he was Butler's coach. Great defense. I wish the Zips played defense like that. Then I could swallow all the defensive talk that KD gives us. Please spare me some long winded statistical response to this post.

I was lucky enough to be on the PSU field before any fans were let into the stadium last year. Guess who the first guy on the field was, catching passes before anybody other than AA stepped a foot on the field? Bowser. He was working hard at his craft and continued until game time. As far as Devoe leaving. I am a little disappointed. I thought he had talent. BUT, I think I agree with STZ, smooth, good frame, but needed to run harder. In hindsight, I wish Tuzze got all his carries last year. Less smooth and frame, more hard nose north and south runner. I think the spread offense fit Devoe's style better, in the pro style offense, we will be running between the tackles more. We need hard nose north and south runners. Move them chains. With the switch between both offense and defensive schemes, you would have to expect players moving positions and players not fitting and moving on. I think this is just a natural progression of a coaching change.

I never thought of Humpty transferring until I read this thread. I hope he doesn't and I don't think he will. I think back to times in the MAC tourney like the time he went over to Nik on the bench to talk to him and cool him down. It seemed to me like he was progressing in team communication on the bench to me at the end of the season. He didn't have the body language of a guy that was transferring. I think he has a lot of potential and just needs to focus more. Although, knowing very little about the kids feelings, it wouldn't surprise me either.

I agree. I was impressed with Ken+'s young QB last year too. Keith Spencer The only game I saw was the Zips/Ken+ game, but he played very well for a freshman. Should be a good game for the next 3 years.

I really like reading or listening to KD's comments because he is more honest and telling than most coaches. Probably too much, but great for us fans. I pretty much agree with both ZB & GZ. Kool. I would like to see them carry some of that design over to the buildings that it is connecting. That way it visually connects the structures and doesn't just look like a cool bridge that might look out of place with it's surroundings.

Yep, but looking at the roster he's 6'1 285, and with his foot speed that makes for a pretty quality DT. I'm betting that defensive line is pumped up with the new staff and change of scheme. I'm looking for some QB pressure this year and it starts right up front on the line. We might actually have a chance to control the line of scrimmage on D!!!

I've watched enough of Rodgers and enough or PN16 to know that our starting QB will be PN16. I've been on the PN16 bandwagon since the first time I saw him throw at PSU. PS I'm not even sure Rodgers will be #2 when all is said and done.

For me, it comes down to demographics. Consider the crowd that you are entertaining. If you go to a Madonna concert, expect to see male dancers, if you turn on the Emmy's expect to see male dancers. The crowd that attends mens college basketball games is not expecting to see male dancers. Sure a guy has the right to dance and may be just as good as a female, but I prefer to be entertained by female dancers at a mens college basketball game. Especially that coo-coo Ken+ dancer a few years back.

Speaking with Matt a handful of times, it doesn't surprise me that he is directing. Good luck to him!
