I give Harris and Montgomery a small pass. They had QB problems. You won't be successful on offense without a solid QB. That position didn't sure up until the middle of the season. That will not be a problem next year. PN16 should be solid. Now if this staff can mix in a solid running game with PN16...sky is the limit IMO. I'm hoping our bread and butter running play is not a hand off in the shotgun with PN16 running next to the RB!?!

I wonder how successful the "pick three" promo was with football? I thought that was a good idea. I would like to see something done like that with basketball. Maybe you give a basketball "coupon" away with the football season tickets. One free GA to any game before the Ken+ game. This way you don't have extra mailing cost, you reach every Zips football fan, you make them attend a game early enough you might get repeat fans later in the season. I would also cross reference the alumni that are signed up on the alumni site that live within 30 miles and offer the same type of "coupon"But the best way to increase attendance is a long term plan by getting more students to the game. Those students become lifetime fans like a lot of us on this site. You don't know how many alumni I come across that didn't go to one bb game or football game while attending, and don't now.Okay...I'm using the emoticon on myself now after reading my post back.

With proper marketing from the university, they can use the media (paper/radio/tv) to help their own cause. IMO that is where we need to focus our energies. The "media" is looking for good things to cover. Sometimes the team creates the buzz and the "media" has to cover it, sometimes (in our case), our marketing department has to create the buzz for the media for the fan to get excited to attend the events.

Steeler stuff, yes, Akron stuff, no.edit-I take that back, I wore a Charlie Frye Akron jersey to a Browns game in his rookie season, while walking through the munny lot fans chanted "a-hole, a-hole" This was not because they were anti-Akron, just ignorant fans who didn't know that Frye was on the Browns.

The Browns have arguably been the worst team in the NFL for a decade, people get on the radio and talk about them every day. Newspaper articles are written about them every day. A team doesn't necessarily have to be great, you just have to have fans that care.

The economy has forced the overpriced to get lean. Comparing super bowl commercial cost to an Akron basketball ticket price is apples and oranges. The economy should have little to do with the attendance at an Akron basketball game. I know a few of my friends out of work looking for low cost entertainment. They have no idea about Akron basketball. How would they ever know? Why not take advantage of the current economic situation to advertise the product as such...affordable sports entertainment? How about getting more students to the game. I counted 37 at the RI game. Yes I realize the semester has not started, but plenty of students live close enough.

Alabama plays in the toughest conference in college football. They go undefeated beating many ranked opponents along the way. They smoke the number 1 team in the country in their conference championship game. They beat the number 2 team in the country by double digits and you think Boise State is #1? I really don't get it?

I could care less about SOS, RPI or PBR, I would like to see the Zips play teams better than them for two reasons.1. It's entertaining to me to watch.2. It makes our team better by playing better teams.

Couldn't agree more, when I , Falknor is EXACTLY who I think of. I hope he shoots like Falknor, but is more athletic. That dude could hit a three anywhere on half a court. Hopefully Euton is a better student too.

Tuesday was the first time I got to see Ronnie play. His footwork on defense impressed me. I'm rooting for him to work hard and take over the PG position. I haven't seen enough to know if this can be true or not.
