  1. I agree. It looks like it is up there half-hazardly also. Like it can be changed at any time. It doesn't sit very flush.
  2. To bad they weren't able to use a a nice photo instead of a rendering.
  3. Tickets for the single game are not on sale yet. As of now, the least amount of tickets you can buy is 3 games at a time.
  4. The area behind it is still under construction and I don't think anything has been done with it yet.I would expect to see some sort of landscaping (trees) eventually. When we drove by it last night on Exchange I thought thatit would be a pretty good way to "realize" there is a game going on by being able to see into the field from Exchange.
  5. Since we all took the same tour, I would suggest only adding "unique" photos to this thread that aren't already posted.Photo of the scoreboard, check, photo of the grass, check, photo of the lights, check, photo from the 50 yard line, check...you get the idea.I tried to take a photo of the elevator in the much discussed North buildings, but it didn't come out. Too many reflections. If you have a photo of that,I think the out of state people might like to see that. I saw MANY enthusiastic fans with there cameras last night! If anybody got to tour the upper levelsand took photos, don't hold back, let's see 'em.
  6. The fans finally get a beautiful new stadium on the campus. You get to tour it for free and complain that the coach wasn't there?!? Simply amazing. There are plenty of events that JD attends and is VERY approachable. I thought they did a great job last night. Ask your question that you would have asked JD here, we will answer it for you. If it's just a statement, post it here, we'll tell him about it.Anybody that looked at that stadium last night is sure to attend multiple games this year. It's going to be a great place to watch football. The campus in general looks fantastic!
  7. Is it time to cut back?Akron at 6% right now.
  8. Discussed in this thread.
  9. How many teams do we play this year run a spread offense? How many do we play that don't? How many spread offenses that we play just decide to run the ball because we play the stack? +1
  10. That's a tricky question, most of us Zip fans hope the answer is "no". Our coach is on record as saying he is still going to use it. Some of us have heard they are practicing other defensive sets. They switched up a few times last year and ran a four man front for some series. We might know know until kickoff. I do agree with you that PSU will run all over a 3-3-5, if it's Akron or Florida. It might even have to do with the health of the guys that play up front. Two or three guys out, and we might be forced to play the stack, if we have everybody up front I can't see how you keep four DLs off the field.
  11. Thanks for taking the time to post. If you need help getting high res on this thread, pm me.Great Photo!
  12. Here is the rendering vs actual for reference. I'll have to see them in person to have an opinion. I can't do it from a 72 dpi 7 inch image.
  13. Those videos are awesome. I love it!
  14. By the time Bizzaro scores a TD for the Zips (2012 I'm guessing) and with French's eye site, it would sound more like this..."Zips ball, I think, at ohhhh let's say about the 10, wouldn't you say Frank, oh well, they snapped the ball and boy is a cold out there for a Thursday night in November, anyway I think they scored because the fans are cheering and the scoreboard changed, let's go down to JJ to see who scored.....Bizzaro? Well if you say so JJ. There it is folks, the Bolt scores his first TD as a Zip"
  15. I like his story.
  16. Hire their AD. He may not have a padded resume, but it seems like he gets things done.
  17. Watering system is a go on the 'Rise' Take hold roots!
  18. What a perfect day to finish the sod on the Rise.
  19. I thought they said it would be too slippery.I don't know who "they" are, but I remember posting somewhere that sod only takes two to three weeks to root.I would be a little amazed to see fans on it this year. It already looks AWESOME! I love it.
  20. Wouldn't one stick of dynamite take care of 10 foot of sandstone? Isn't it $200 for one stick?
  21. Have you been to a rainy day Zips home game? You don't see many Rowdies. I'm guessing 'Rowdies on The Rise' will be closed during bad weather. Any college football fan that has sat at Virginia on the hill to watch a game, can't, just can't be against hillside seating!?! Anybody that is against it, hasn't experienced it. Trust me, it's cool.
