Some good info in the article. Quotes from Bowden, and KN1. Three Phil photos. “Coming from high school the speed is a lot faster, so a lot of it was just me coming out of my reads earlier, trusting my legs and my ability to run the ball,” he said. The change from then to now has been significant. “That’s a big thing I’ve improved on as I’ve been here,” he said. “You know, getting more comfortable with the offense and getting more reps so the speed of the game has slowed down. I’ve been able to distribute better.” For him, the process has been a simple one. “I think film study, reps — getting reps in practice then going over that practice and going over the mistakes you made. That’s how you get better,” he said. Last practice in Ohio today, flight tomorrow, and one more practice on Saturday.

Your are asking for sympathy from the wrong fan base, we restarted our program over from "scratch" in 2012. We are excited about where the program is headed now, but it took us awhile to undo what was done. This bowl game will be another step for both program's future success. Good luck. I have no inside info, I was commenting on the fact that coach mentioned that he may practice the '''starters" for an hour and dismiss them, and work with the young guys. It would not surprise me to see one of the younger receivers see some extended playing time on Tuesday though. Maybe somebody who "stepped it up" in practice this week...given more time.

??♂️ I missed this today, anybody listen that can give a recap?

Sunshine puts fans in a state of euphoria. ☀️?? I'm looking forward to hearing coach Amato talk about the Owl's offense tomorrow. Three more practices, and the team is off to Florida on Friday. I bet some young gun in our receiving group got better today.

Duquesne Basketball Coach Keith Dambrot
Dr Z replied to Valpo Zip's topic in Off Topic, Smack & Jokes
Chris Mueller is already writing about next season..."At the end of the bench sat Tavian Dunn-Martin, Frankie Hughes, Michael Hughes, Craig Randall II and Marcus Weathers. At this time next year, all five will likely be playing major minutes when Duquesne and Pitt square off again at PPG Paints Arena. Though for now, they’re nothing more than practice bodies. On Friday night, they were in street clothes." On goes the rebuild for Dambrot, Duquesne after City Game setback KD is also speaking about two to three years down the road. https://player.vimeo.com/video/245487619 -
He's now 64 and a half. Maybe he retired early.

I'm giving all my likes to this comment. Teams are not the same from one point of the season to the next. Very entertaining watching my team score 94 points. Fun rooting for players that see a lot of floor time. I'm hopeful with all the floor time experience the kids are getting, they continue to improve with a March payoff (this season or the next...)

Saturday, December 16th at 2 pm. The Delta Devils are still looking for a win. Kent beat them by 13

Poll closes (for the season) this Friday at 11 pm, before the next (Saturday) game. The Zips will have 7 wins (my best guess) going into MAC play with at least 19 more games to get 13 wins if they were to get to 20 wins on the season.

Same press conference as posted early, different format. Skip ahead to the 12 minute mark to get to coach Bowden.

In West Palm?

(More from the press conference posted above) Anonymous reporter to coach Kiffin, "there are a lot of rumors floating around, I guess that's the elephant in the room, I won't ask the question" Kiffin "thank you" Bobby Bowden is coming in the 17th. Coach (Terry) Bowden said "I'm known as an SOB down here in the south.......Son of Bobby." Coach Bowden had to fly down for this conference, miss practice, and had to fly back that night to make today's practice. Kato was the only player coach talked about in his opening statement. "we have a redshirt freshman at QB that is exciting and from this area" The MC said "The PGA will be the host for Akron", not exactly sure what that meant. I'm assuming that is there hotel? How do you use the extra practices? Coach Bowden "we might have practice for an hour, cut practice, and work the players that aren't playing, we will spend time developing our young players for next year. We only have 15 practices in the spring, we get a bonus by having half (more) now"

Should Jatavis Be on the Field More? The need to turn to Phillips came when Brown was dealing with a nagging injury. He has been fully healthy for a while, but with the way AP is playing and the return of Denzel Perryman, there has been no need to change what is currently working. It’s a good problem to have when a player like Brown is unable to crack the lineup.

Hmmmmm, I got that exact same printed piece, and didn't even bet anybody. Weird.
