  1. I love this part of the story. Makes you think.Green said the key was the quick action taken by Cappuccino to run an ice-cold saline solution through Everett's system that put the player in a hypothermic state. Doctors at the Miami Project have demonstrated in their laboratories that such action significantly decreases the damage to the spinal cord due to swelling and movement."We've been doing a protocol on humans and having similar experiences for many months now," Green said. "But this is the first time I'm aware of that the doctor was with the patient when he was injured and the hypothermia was started within minutes of the injury. We know the earlier it's started, the better."Everett remains in intensive care and will be slowly taken off sedation and have his body temperature warmed over the next day, Green said. Doctors will also take the player off a respirator.

  3. Skip, did you watch the Monday night game? Cincy D was getting some good pressure on McNair.
  4. Anybody an insider that can cut & paste this story?Written by Jeremy Green, director of pro scouting for Scouts Inc., has been an NFL scout for more than 10 years
  5. Every rookie QB can't fall into the "right" situation. Charlie is a survivor and a quick learner (see senior season in college)Something tells me he will work day and night until he knows the offense (remember the cot in the coaches office story). He'll land on his feet.
  6. I would hope they interview Charlie. I am very interested to hear his thoughts, or at least comments on the subject. Will he say that he is disappointed because he was always a Browns fan with that poster of Bernie on his wall or will he say he is excited going to a winning organization?
  7. Seems to be the going rate for a starting QB. Isn't that what KC got for Trent Green?
  8. Some Zips fans got what they wanted all along for Charlie today, what is your feeling?
  9. No problem, the Browns will never have to face him in the playoffs, he is in the NFC....but Dr Z, what if...you heard me NEVER.
  10. Big deal. Romeo was busy too. Report from Berea was that he dropped his quarter under the vending machine. It took the whole offensive line to try to move the machine. Schaffer fell over on his back side. Thomas missed the machine and fell down. After they finally got the quarter out from under the vending machine, Romeo startedflipping...heads, Anderson, tails Dorsey. This went on for hours. No results yet...stay tunedA reporter ask Charlie what he thought, Charlie replied "I have a plane to catch, send my stuff"
  11. If he signs a new contract with Seattle, I'll have his new jersey.5 and 9 are available, hope he takes 5
  12. The Seahawks have been in the market for a backup quarterback, which will free them up to use Seneca Wallace in other positions around the field.I watched a few Seattle preseason games and this was a hot topic in Seattle. I wonder if Seneca is okay with this.
  13. I'm listening to Sirius NFL to try to get confirmation.
  14. Yeah, check out Zipsnation
  15. Congratulations Charlie 4th rounder surprises me. Would make sense if it were a conditional pick.Giants depth chart at QBAtlanta QBsIsn't it funny that people were saying if Charlie got cut, nobody would pick him up?
  16. Bernie says if Jesus were in Frye's place they would be 0-1 (pretty funny BK)
  17. I voted for Jerry Moore.
  18. I heard from an unreliable source that Frye might have had a concussion, but I have seen nothing about it anywhere.
  19. LeBeau stopped blitzing. They started rotating in the backups and rookies in the 2nd Q."I think they had about enough"
  20. Zips 6Indiana 17Hope I'm wrong
  21. I would hold off on our congrats to Frye just yet. My guess is they cut that "punter"Here is to hoping Frye gets lucky though
  22. not to hijack the IU thread, but the stiff arm from Hardy reminds of this image Saturday.I love it !!Let's see a little more of this on Saturday.
  23. Welcome to the nation Moose. I understand where you are coming from, but most of the members here go to the games and are very voiceterous. You are probably preaching to the choir here, but we are with ya!Here at zipsnation, we try to look at all sides of the team, good or bad.Feel free to tell us what you think the team is doing well.
  24. Hardy looks to be one big dude.
  25. I'm not picking on you skip, but I can't believe that a Zip fan watched that game Saturday and did not have a problem with the play calling. I hope to see some kind of change this week. I'm not going to get too down yet because I agree with you, we should give this offense a little time to gel. Here's to hoping that our staff is watching some film and coming up with a better game plan for this week.
