  1. Here's a copy of my last tuition bill... its a fun read to see everything Im paying for. Not sure if it answers your question tho.14 credit hours (lighter load than usual) and living in the new dorms:
  2. youd be correct. They've been going around the stadium putting them in today.
  3. The PD article on Mack (the same one that gives him credit for the fieldhouse, so I can't be sure of the accuracy) says we're renovating the JAR. Maybe we're removing the corners to give the upper section a rounded look. Maybe we're removing the track (it causes the biggest amounts of complaints) and having the seating go all the way up. I have no idea what it could be, but I know that it's supposedly going to start very shortly after this basketball season is finished, which is good timing. Renovated JAR + Zeke = very good year for basketball.Time to weigh in.A) The four pillars in the corners support the weight of the roof. They CANNOT be moved. Thus, the corners are nearly worthless for seating.B ) The seating can be increased by eliminating the indoor track. Also, the end zones offer good possibilities, especially if the AK-Rowdies would grow in the number of regularly participating students.C) There is an ongoing study to build a NEW arena. Current proposal is to build an eleven thousand seat facility directly across the street from Canal Park. There is some squabbling about whether to make a basketball only arena or one that would include a hockey rink. From the four color drawings I have seen it would be a winner as a basketball only facility. Note: Over the past several months the quality and quantity of these drawings have gone from pen and ink to the quality four color drawings like those used to promote the football stadium.D) If I were a betting man (and I am) I would bet that a new arena with in five years is a much more likely prospect than a renovated JAR. You can put lipstick on pig and it will still be a pig.Id really like to see said drawing as an hour-long google search got me nothing.
  4. Id like to make it known that I did some digging around on Google to find some more info on this supposed "arena", and I was only able to find that there is supposedly planend renovations to the JAR, not a planned new arena. If anyone has information that refutes that, please post it.
  5. its sarcasm... and a little satire... we obviously know we're not playing on thursdays every week...
  6. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=170&f=2350&t=3914982found that.... not anything of significance, but i think that might have been the source...
  7. hey, did you know you can hit the spacebar after punctuation? it actually helps people take you seriously.in regards to what you tried to say... we are the home team. they are our opponent. we have every right to boo them. its our house, defend it!Oh and yeah... Jesus wasn't perfect either... just sayin.
  8. so he studies the game footage to not only learn about the zips, but to also learn about the rowdies?? interesting.... very interesting.
  9. I never thought theyd make them cheap like that, its just ive never heard of this kind of bleacher technology.Anyone have details on how it's constructed? Do they pour a small layer on concrete over the steel? Im really interested to see what this will end up being.
  10. yes... this was something I noticed a while ago and have been pondering. I can't understand them spending $65million on this stadium only to use aluminum stands.
  11. hi res photos now available. click on the photo itself to see the image in full-res. Clicking the top of the image will only show it in 1MB size. (56k beware)Im not sure exactly what this building will be. My guess is that it's some kind of eqiupment storage or something.
  12. No! we actually call the "stupid" kangaroo the best mascot in America according to the Capital One Mascot competition.owned. you are the weakest link. goodbye.
  13. ill have the hi-res versions I took of the stadium up later. I seem to have forgotten my camera's USB cord.
  14. I suggest you go troll somewhere else. I can already see the ban hammer swingin
  15. im not a shoe guy, and normally im always against $100+ shoes, but those are by far the most amazing nike shoes ive ever seen. i would definitely like to get a pair of those.
  16. thats great news! hahai somehow doubt the dozers will be tearing into that place on march 2, tho. probably won't be till mid to late march. I think they have to go in there with a deconstruction crew to clear out as much reusable and recycleable material as possible.
  17. ask (again) and ye shall receive. Im heading over to the stadium in a bit to take a bunch of pics for ya'll. Im braving the cold and rain for you guys, so no complaining if they aren't good enough.
  18. you and me both...i cant wait to see the buildings goin down on the webcams. that day cannot come soon enough.and now to find out what happens with that one property left....
  19. I think the refs are lurkers on this forum.... thats my theory and im stickin to it... mainly because any other explanation doesn't make sense.
  20. whoever wins the MAC is going to be the team that doesn't get screwed the worst by officiating.
  21. can we please let up on this "JD is gone after next year" talk? Give the guy a chance to work with one of the best recruiting classes we've seen here in a long time. If in 2 years, we're flat on our faces, have at the guy.
