kinda hard to see on the webcams, but definitely visible when you look at the stadium... crew has started installing the windows on the 4th floor... nice to see that already started

im questioning why this article was even written... its as if people dont know who lebron is. sounds like they needed an article to run in the sports section and just put something together since everyone in NY is salivating over lebron...

::grumble::No more than 3 months ago I did her entire bio page on UA's website at my job. Now I bet Im gonna have to go in there and change it all... again.

I am fully confident they will have it done in time. Do you honestly believe that they didn't take into consideration the crappy weather that NE Ohio has during the winter months? They more than likely gave themselves a month or so of a buffer so that in case of inclement weather during the winter they wouldn't run past the beginning of the football season. They'll have it done in time. You just gotta have faith in them. If anything, I am sure they are focusing on getting anything related to gameday operations completed first. If there's anything that isn't done come home opener, it'll be the classroom levels.

nope... its just boarded up. Either they went out to business or the University bought it.

our offense is quite capable of putting up enough points to win games. it's our defense that can't keep teams from scoring more points than our offense can. Look at our averages last year and that will say it all.if you replace last year's d with a defense that allowed at least 5 less points per game and quite a few games we lost last year would have been victories. simply put, our defense is the main concern here. is the 3-3-5 gone? if not, are they going to be actually capable of tackling on first contact?

jeeze people... I never said that this win streak was going to double attendance or anything, I was simply pointing out that even a win streak against the lowly MAC West is starting to get our name out there. I fully realize the challenge ahead of the squad. I realize going to the NCAA tourney is what we need. I REALIZE THESE THINGS...you can try rain on my parade all you want, but I dont have a parade for you to rain on...

yea, saw that last night as I was driving back from home. I couldn't see a whole lot since it was almost 11 at night, but its at least promising to see them getting started on that project. I havent noticed any other major changed on the stadium itself. Im thinking its a bit too muddy down in the bowl to get the trucks down there to the crane.

I always thought it was the other way around for whatever reason. Even so, I really hope this win streak goes a long way to getting the word out about this team to more people.

Cap'n... you sure its gonna be SDSU? Im looking at their 09-10 schedule and I dont see us on it: http://www.gojacks.com/SportSelect.dbml?SP...p;Q_SEASON=2009 (looks oddly familiar to the old gozips site, btw) -

cant seem to find anything on their boards that indicates they even know they're scheduled to play us, let alone any talk about "what a joke" the game is. -
Once a Can't State Thug ALWAYS a Can't State Thug

the only difference is he was immediately ejected from the game for it. That and he stepped on another players face. Repeatedly hitting a guy while he's down isnt as offensive as stepping on a player's face. -
I got to class about 10 minutes early today and had a chat with the prof. He actually brought up the topic of the win streak the guys are on and it got me to thinking... I remember someone on here saying something to the effect of "winning all these games gets joe akron excited for zips basketball" and I honestly believe that's happening. The greatest part... I dont think many realize the talent that's gonna be showing up next year in the form of one Zeke....

awesome. If you ever get a chance, try and bring up the College of Engineering's page. It's really crumby looking and misrepresents the college.I believe we were looking at updating it, but I believe the higher-ups in the engineering dept are dragging their butts on it. I could be wrong, but dont quote me.

I work at the computer center at UA and I know we are often in charge of moving these vastly outdated webpages like the band's page. Ill talk to my boss and ask him if he can get in contact with the band dept to see if they want us to update their page. Not gonna say it will happen, but its outdated webpages like these that we can't have.

not sure about NLIs, but in the soccer forum there are many links showing we already have the #1 soccer recruiting class this year. -

Simply put, this new design is a DRASTIC improvement over the previous design. Here are some of my thoughts as both a web developer and a Zips fan:[1] From a web developer's standpoint, this layout is much simpler than before. Instead of having the menus on the left, they have been condensed to Javascript menus that only show up when you hover over them. This leaves more room for content (and, unfortunately, ads).[2] From a fan's perspective, there's a lot more content put on the main page that previous. Also, all the images are finally undistorted and pixelated. [3] The colors are much more relaxed. Before, blue and gold were all in your face in every aspect of the web design. Now they are used as accent colors, much as they should be. [4] why why why why why do there have to be so many ads on gozips.com? Thank God I have adblock plus for firefox so that I never have to see any of them, but that leaves these ugly blank spots on the page. [5] The mini schedule at the bottom is very nice to have. Makes it easier for someone who may be double checking the time of a game tonight or tomorrow without having to navigate to each team's schedule page and then scrolling down to find the game.[6] Why the hell is the pole a pie graph? Every poll out there is always a bar graph with a %age. :facepalm:Thats all I can think of right now.I like the new design. Anything is better than what we had before. Good riddance to that ancient piece of web design.

I've been noticing this a lot recently and finally have gotten around to taking a look to figuring out why none of the links posted in the Zips "News" forum that are submitted by the News Collector work. Here's what I found:The link News Collector Posts: http://www.gozips.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10800&ATCLID=3663693The Link it should be (via GoZips.com) http://www.gozips.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10800&ATCLID=3663693If you look closely, you will see the news collector is putting an additional / in the URL, thus breaking it. Any way to fix this? I don't know how the system works, but at least its an easy fix (maybe?)

She won't be on the charity stripe any time soon... she's suspended indefinitely, which should be much longer than the standards we've grown accustomed to over at Can't
