  1. The short answer is "no" on that. However I did ask that question out loud.
  2. UTSA? If they are taking schools like this, then Akron should be on the list to bolt. Unless, they want to stay. If this is the case, it spells total doom.
  3. When I saw this, I honestly thought that it was another one of those articles, but I this might have some merit. Link from NPR
  4. Is this bases on "tickets sold" or actual butts in seats?
  5. San Deigo State, Really!? Now that is a desperate move by both sides. If it is all about the Television market, I decided to go hear and take a look for myself Top T.V markets If it is being based just on that, San Deigo is way down the list and a bad, bad move
  6. I think because the police has a investigation and some major c.y.a.
  7. See Tear gas in action!
  8. Here is what I saw: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/3...890195764_n.jpg The pictures in question does not do it justice, but my account, there was at least 2,000 people there
  9. Zippy you are right, Southern Miss was a bad on to put in the post, but UTEP has been one of the worst for years. Taking a quick look at their conference, there are several offenders of pure bad football for years. Conference USA is looking more and more like a bad idea
  10. Pass defence was my issue. I know is was the sprimg game, but when you hang 50, there are issues. Mabye mike could give more in depth insite
  11. Its a standing question
  12. UTEP and Southern Miss should be thankful they have not been stepped down to FCS. Two very bad football schools talking trash. They need to look in the mirror.
  13. I agree with you. I also lived in Phoenix(Buckeye to be more specific) for 6 years. There are transplants out there, but if it wasn't ASU, they did not care and that was even debatable at times. I remember I was in Native New Yorker and they had Akron Soccer on. Every one was watching and it felt great. It was even better because Since everyone knew me, and they knew I was from Akron. I got the same questions (what is a Zip, ect.) and they could not believe that they were that good
  14. After reading this article, it is very scary when the quote that sticks out to me is "Our goal this year is to win one more game than last year," Coach Bowden said. "We just have to work to get that win and then build from that." It might be a long, long year
  15. Mabye that is why they fired him today.
  16. So it should be modeled after NFL Eroupe?
  17. How about behind the old Firestone complex? Other than the canal, I don't think there is nothing back there.
  18. "Wagner has almost no experience in the 3-3-5 defense" If this writer only knew
  19. Or better, not the CBI
  20. It is not over. I will take the NIT. You never know, maybe the selection committee might be nice and make the Zips one of the "First Four" in Dayton
  21. I just do not see the Main St site happening and here is why. On that corner is the following: Canal Park(not moving) The old O'Neils building(not going anywhere) Polsky Building(already owns) That leaves the Mayflower. This becomes a issue because it is Public Housing and there is probably not enough space for a arena. East of Route 8 sounds like a good spot, or Spicer/ Exchange
  22. One line got my attention "They were like a poor man’s Duke."
  23. Talk about bringing down the Hammer!
  24. Sorry about that, I found it
  25. Are you sure? My understanding was that Summa bought the Martin lot. BTW, I worked at Martin in 2004-2005 and the Haven was a huge issue at night
