I don't think you are wrong at all. This program is in such bad shape, it is going to be hard to bring in a decent D-1A assistant. It would be hard to bring in a decent DII or I-AA coach at this point. Coaches are very calculated about their careers and Akron isn't a strong career move. The following happened to our last four coachs. Faust - Never got a sniff at another job in coaching Owens - DII JD - Out of coaching for a year and now assistant at Colorado Coach I - Will be assistant somewhere At this stage of the game I take Owens back. At least those teams did not go down without a fight!

There is only one way: make a "forced" package that will include Soccer tickets. I have a better idea: Years ago the Atlanta Hawks did a promotion that basically said "if we don't make the playoffs, you will get double your money back." Do the same thing if we do not win at least 4 games.

I can say now that that the Big East is done in Football. Even if they bring in all three Service Schools and a "few ringers," they are no longer a BCS Conference. They beat Akron and CMU who have a combined win total against D-1A teams of....let's see....one.I'd still take their 4 and whatever over our inevitable 1-11.I would too, but let's not get carried away about the great "building process" English has going on at EMU.
