  1. Here's the deal, we have only played one game of significance in my mind. If we turn around and win next week, I'll be as happy as ever. However, to lose two big games in a row digs the hole that much deeper. I'm not sure why people are suddenly calling the season a flop after one dropped game. We'll have our chances to make up for it! The talk I have been reading on here for the past few days is pathetic. I didn't expect Akron to go undefeated, nor did I expect them to never make a mistake. We have played one real game and the season is now lost? People need to re-screw their heads on, seriously. The team can still have a very successful year, and I will cheer for them to do so. No wonder people of Akron can't get behind their team, all of the ZipsNation "faithful" are throwing hissy fits. Embrace the positives, correct the negatives, MOVE ON. Good post Zipsrifle On to CMU
  2. Good job again!! The band did at least as well as last week, in my opinion. It was really cool to see so many musicians on the field. I have to say I wasn't blown away with the sound, further supporting my rationale that sound is amplified downward in that stadium. I'm not gonna complain at all thought, very nice show. The hard work is continuing to pay off. Hopefully more and more musicians are brought in to really amp the energy.
  3. Aw...everyone bring those kazzoos!!
  4. The Most important thing in my mind is that the student section sells out...easilyWill they keep the grass hill closed if overflow isn't needed? Wouldn't that suck!!!
  5. Wanna but an elevator pass??I'll sell ya one cheap
  6. Ditto. It would be a great match up as well. PS: I would rather not play at Browns stadium...I think there is some money invested ON CAMPUS where out beautiful stadium is practically begging for use(I think I just accidently imitated someone)
  7. Akron 27Indiana 24
  8. Is he switching back to offense?
  9. I'm a student but can't make it to the soccer game until closer to game time (there's no way I'd make it before 6:45) so I bought a game ticket. I should be able to sit with students tho right??
  10. Akron victories
  11. Swiech will have plenty of chances to earn his time. He'll be a valuable asset to the team whatever his role may be.
  12. ...oh and I forgot to mention I wasn't really feelin' the whole "where the zips are gonna win" echo... its just too much in my opinionIt would be cooler to hear the fans yell "our house" and have the band play the echo. Actually I like that a lot!I don't have it backwards right?and in conclusion, yes, more members would be nice. The more sound the better!edit: I use the term echo loosely
  13. All 3 have equal chances at playing time. I still think they all can contribute in different ways, even if Zeke ends up being an instant superstar. I haven't seen enough of Swiech to know his skill level, but from what I hear he is talented. Bardo can come in and hold down the fort on defense. It should make everyone on the team better in the end.
  14. Band sounded good. Grade: BSome fans seemed to be a little unresponsive in general. Grade: CStudent Section was intimidating and got into it! Grade: B+Music selection..meh Grade: CGrade on my test after reading all of this band forum....oh well it doesn't matter

Do you think he could do that for me?If it's appropriate for a category I'm sure he'd be happy to.

  20. Akron 41Morgan State Teddy Bears 17Just hope that we keep mistakes to a minimum. Also I agree PSU 84, we need some signature home field advantage ideas. We have an opportunity to set the traditions!

  22. 1) I can't control anything that I type about on this board but that isn't stopping me...2) Who's worrying?3) Why are we seriously arguing this...don't you wanna know what the weather will be like?!?!? Don't you think that will be a major impact on our experience?I'm excited to see how many people show up hours before the game to enjoy the festivities

  25. Allow me to set the scene...Trumpets sound, and the band begins to play as the Akron Zips Marching Band begins their journey toward InfoCision Stadium. The sun is shining through scattered clouds, and the temperate 76 degree weather warms the spirit of thousands of fans scattered throughout Colemon Commons. The aroma of grilled burgers catches in the light breeze generating a yearning, a desire, a hunger for victory. What was once green space is now solid blue and gold as the Akron faithful hang banners, throw frisbees, and drink beer with friends. Anticipation has been building throughout both campus and the city, and at last it has boiled over in colossal fashion. The Zips take the field to thunderous applause. A sold out InfoCision stadium of 30,000 fans is on their feet to push a steadfast Zips team across the goal line and into the next era of Zip’s history. or how about this...The rain continues to fall as true Zip’s fans weather the storm overhead. There is some good news, however, the grill finally lit! Off in the distance the band is heard, quickly tooting their horns as they head toward the sea of umbrellas known as InfoCision Stadium. Season ticket holders and students aren’t afraid of a little rain, and parking was much less of a problem with the lack of game day tickets sold. Who knows maybe Zippy will show up in a wet suit?Well I'm sure at some point we have all wondered how the weather will shape up on game day. Seriously speaking, the excitement will be there either way, but weather will be a major factor. Fair-weather fans....let's have a look:Saturday, September 12Isolated T-Storms High 75°FLow 60°FPrecipitation 40% Wind: From ESE at 6 mph Max. Humidity: 85% UV Index: 5 Moderate (hey some of you might wanna work on your tan)Sunrise: 6:58 AM ET Source: http://www.weather.comKeep the fingers crossed Zip's Fans.
