I asked the ticket office if I could sit in general admission seating (using my band) and they said yes. That's what I'm going with though I still feel uneasy.

Congrats PSU, it should be a successful season for you all. I didn't expect it but you're as good as advertised. Hopefully we can find a few offensive plays that pick up positive yardage.

If first downs were touchdowns for us in the first half.....the score would have been the same. That's just sad!!!Do we have more than 5 plays? I wasn't seeing very much that I liked on offense. Some (most) of the blame goes to a good PSU defense, but if we can't work in a few nice plays. 1 nice play? Sad.Defense looks alright. Other MAC schools look awful. Even with a crappy 5 plays we should compete.If we would have moved down the field for even a few field goals in the first half and say... 100 yards, I'd be alright with the game.

Just heard there is in the neighborhood of 500 tickets left of 7,000 that were made available. Any idea how many students have picked up their bands so far? I want this stadium PACKED.My visual blue band assessment of the student attendance is mediocre at best. It isn't very accurate because most of people I talk to are going with the cut and tape strategy on gameday.

I just don’t like being FORCED to wear something for 2 weeks. I could cut the wristband and sell it as I would a ticket (swear I'm not that desperate) so that doesn't really make sense. I'm not walking around complaining or anything, but they could have just handed us the wristband. I can see why I hear so many people who are upset/confused.Nevertheless, I've actually decided not to cut it off and re-tape it just to show my excitement for the new stadium. I like walking around campus looking for blue wristbands: Akron Pride.It feels as if students have been turned into walking advertisements, I just hope it isn't an advertisement for stupid admissions policies....and to people dismissing the substantial number of complaints as childish I hope you are wearing a wristband. There must be some law against this I really don't think this is a great idea. Forcing students to wear a wristband for a few days...I could have believed that, but for 12!!! I guess if someone passes up the home opener because of a stupid wristband I hardly miss them. In my opinion a silicone bracelet would have been a great idea! The buzz should be there at least. Hearing my fellow students complain just means they're interested...right?

You just did this because you know you are toying with the facts. Central Hower, South of exchange and north of campus and east of campus are all soon to be on campus. Now take a look at another fact. The area east of the stadium which will soon be on campus is perfect for an on-campus arena. The only person having the hissy fit is you....is this what you do for a living?the ideal location of an arena and the realistic location is very very different. If we don't let this die soon there will be nothing to talk about when an arena project is brought up.

Ideally id have the arena on wheels so it could move wherever I go.

You Browns fans are funny. A guy flunks out....the coach stinks. A guy misses field goals....his coach stinks. A player continues to throw ints in the red zone....the coach stinks. At what point are the players to blame? The players are adults getting paid (yes, a scholarship is real money worth thousands a year) and they need to start earning their money. One thing I know for sure. We are on our third coach in the D-1A era and one thing remains the same....the PLAYERS don't perform in key situations over and over again. Let's fire the coach though....I'm sure the fourth coach can solve it. If not, we'll hire a fifth coach.If the Zips don't win at least seven games this year, I'll be the first one to open the door for JD to leave. At some point, the players themselves must start to perform. Coaches don't really get coaches fired unless they get caught having sex with female interns, etc. It's the players that get them fired. If the Zips don't win at least seven games this year with the talent on that team, it is the fault of the players and not the coaches. JD will pay the price, but that is just the way it goes in sports. Maybe we are just a losing program and the players themselves have passed on losing from one generation to another. Many will say that if you peel our onion of losing, there is more to the problem when you get through the various layers. In my experience, things are almost always as they appear to be. When you peel an onion, you get more onion. When we peel the onion of our losing, we just get more onion. We tried new coaches and the onion remains the same. New ADs and the onion remains the same. New fieldhouse and the onion remains the same. We'll see if the next layer of onion, the new stadium, reveals anything other than more onion this coming season. No coach in the world can change the onion.The best thing we have going for us is we are part of an even worse onion in the MAC. Try peeling that onion since 1948...........so we're just born losers?

I’m hoping we have consistent kicking this year. While everything was outside 42yards, I hope 40 and under in automatic.Think we have any stars emerging? It's sure hard to see at this point.

I think constructive criticism is fine. This is a fan board after all... we're always looking for ways to improve things. Why should we restrain our opinions?Personally, I don't think the 3 lights or the cheap scoreboard backing are as nice as the concept work portrayed. I assume there was a good reason for the small alterations and it really doesn't take away from the stadium. Oh and did I mention it's fricken sweet...Lets Go Zips!
