  1. I've both seen and talked to Steve and he's a class act. He is one of the most approachable guys on the team, and from what I've seen he is equally as hard working. If he keeps his dedication both in the classroom and on the court, things will work out for him no matter the situation. I really hope he picks up his game and makes it onto the floor!!

  2. Rasor has an interesting final quote from Coach Dambrot on the liveblog of the game:"We have some guys that have told us that if they don't play, they will go somewhere else and play."Thoughts?
There is a logjam of talent. It wouldn't surprise me. To me, it's a sign of an improving talent level. I have nothing against anyone who wants to leave for playing time. We potentially have a 14-man rotation! And for the people who asked, the attendance was 1,053 for the exhibition. I'm hoping for at least 3.5k on Sunday, since there isn't a Browns game to compete against.
lol I only was twice the actual in my estimate.
...might be better than my prediction of Zip's Football wins
  3. Just wait until we are on the real top 25 list....it's only a matter of time.
Just wait until we shock NC State again. Looking at their forums, we're considered an automatic win. Their complaining will be loud enough to reach the national media, and that's when we'll start to hear about getting some votes even if NC State sucks.
oh man I wish people would stop being this optimistic. I saw stuff like this on here before the football season and look what happened. I really hope we do go this season and shock the nation, but I'm trying to be realistic and not have too high of hopes. I think we'll most likely lose to NC State and Texas A&M, probably be 10-4 0r 9-5 when we enter MAC Play.
I know exactly how you feel! 10-4 is what I expect, but hopefully we can pull a win from either NC State or Texas A&M. I think it just depends on how fast the team progresses.

AKRON, Ohio – With the start of preseason basketball practice just days away, University of Akron men's head coach Keith Dambrot and women's head coach Jodi Kest prepared a special video message for the Zips faithful on Wednesday. Practice for both programs gets underway Friday evening and fans can visit which each squad from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the annual "Meet The Teams" event in Rhodes Arena. UA fans will have a chance to mingle with both hoops squads, get autographs, pose for pictures and see the men's 2009 Mid-American Conference Tournament championship trophy up close and personal. Zippy and members of the UA spirit team will also be on hand, along with a balloon artist.

  5. This is one of those games where I won't be surprised no matter the outcome. The Zips haven't proven themselves worth a sneeze, but the talent to win is there (somewhere). It's still early and I'm holdin out hope that this can be turned around.Zips- 20OU-17Lets go zips!
