I don't like playing a true road game, but if we can win that game, we'll have a neutral court in Round of 32. Who knows? Maybe Purdue fans would support us if we some how beat them. The one thing we do have going for us compared to Purdue, is we played on March 15th. Playing exactly a week later(almost exactly 168 hours too) compared to Boilermaker's layoff should help. Purdue hasn't played a game since March 7th. Possibly a bit of rust there where we can get a lead early on them.

Game is a 1:00pm start. We have had their number as of late. They're playing their 6th game in 8 days. However, They're playing really well, and will be tough to beat. Their players are playing to the potential everyone thought they would. Good luck to the Lady Zips!!!!!! These ladies have worked hard to get back to this point, and they're back and ready to win the program's first MAC Championship.

I knew eventually that post would happen. The people who know me very well, know I always say "the game is over" before it is, and i basically "jinx myself" all the time. I grew up a Seattle Seahawk fan and I did that in the NFC Championship game when SF when down the field late. I did that with the Akron men's team last year. I did it against the Eastern Michigan quarterfinal game a few seasons ago. I understand the criticism of my post, and I'll take it as long as we keep winning!!!!! I'll keep eating the crow as long as there is crow to eat...

The reason why Lady Zips are playing well? They go hard and make their free throws, which is all concentration and focus(and repetition before, in, and/or after practice) The men? Not so much. I just hope that with the men losing tonight, they'll still show up to support the Lady Zips. They deserve the support!

As long as the Zips win tonight, I will be there tomorrow. Couldn't get my car fixed in time to take the trek to Cleveland(Hopefully a friend of mine will help me out tomorrow if it still isn't fixed in time). I'm hoping for an Akron doubleheader tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Bench played well. Carly Young had a double double with 10 points and 10 boards off the bench. Anita Brown with 14 points off the bench. Katie Nunan had 8 points. The sophomores are playing really well right now with the seniors. Dangerous combination if they can play a whole 40 minutes of good basketball. Still having a few bad lapses at times.

It's happened to us several times this season. Especially with how streaky we were in that first half. Just have to play better defense than what we have been this game.
