1) Porter/Huggins comparison is a TERRIBLE one. Huggins went to another college program. Porter went to the professional ranks. Porter would still be here if it wasn't for two initals: TW 2) Everyone keeps talking about how they wish Akron gets mentioned more here or there. Personally, you may not like soccer, but practically in every MLS game broadcast, Akron is mentioned at least once on air. 3) The reason why people still follow and support Porter, is that he still supports and follows Akron. He didn't go to a bigger college program, even though he easily could of left the day after the Virginia loss. 4) My comparison of Caleb Porter is Brad Stevens. But Porter is a better coach/manager in his sport. I'm proud he was a Zip coach, and will follow him since he went to the next step, and didn't go to a different college program. Coaches have every right to take the opportunity to get their chance at the professional level as much as the players.

Growing up, I was a Seattle Seahawks fan. I still am, but if I go to a Cleveland Browns game and it isn't against Seattle, then I'm not going to wear my SEA gear. It's that simple. It just looks stupid. Akron is DI, not DII or DIII. If you want to be an Ohio State fan AND an Akron fan, just don't show the OSU crap at Akron games that don't involve Ohio State. It's like being a fan of both the Browns and Bengals because they're in the state of Ohio. It's like being a fan of St. Ignatius and St. Edward (or Massillon and McKinley), because they're in the same county. Just doesn't make much sense to me. Or for the soccer example, it's like being a fan of both the Sounders and the Timbers. Just can't really happen. Yeah, for us Akron fans it might be easier since there's former Zips on each side of that rivalry, but if you're an average fan for either side, you absolutely HATE the other one. Just getting tired of the way other students make me feel I'm at a community college instead of a DI school.

This loss was so heartbreaking for me. But the fact that we're talking about a heartbreaking loss to #11 in the country, Michigan, instead of a 40 point blowout, I'm proud to be an Akron fan. Michigan will fall so far in the poll, that it will look like Akron beat Michigan today. Well done Zips, well done!!!! Only part I can say is this: 1) FG miss at end of 1st half 2) Two times we got inside Michigan's 2 yd line and got no points(INT and Turnover on Downs). Michigan got really lucky today. I do not want to be a player on that Michigan team for the very next practice. Hoke will treat this like a loss for sure.

James Madison would of defeated Liberty by at least 20, who only loss to K.e.n.t. by 7. We will beat K.e.n.t. this year. I don't understand why everyone on here still thinks we're going to lose to them this season. We should of defeated them last year.

The MAC is 26-14 overall right now. The MAC East is 13-4 while the MAC West is 13-10. Very tough mid-major conference for volleyball. Out of the 12 schools, only 3 have a losing record right now(Bowling Green, Can't State, Central Michigan all at 1-2). 4 schools are undefeated right now(Ohio, Buffalo, Miami(OH), at 3-0..Akron 2-0) Including Ohio with a 3-0 win over #8 Oregon. Bowling Green with a 3-2 win over #13 BYU.

On a lighter note, Can't is still losing to Liberty, and are attempting a field goal to tie it at 10-10. I'm really interested what next week's comic strip for Dri Archer looks like. Especially since Archer only played 3-4 plays tonight before leaving, came out in shirt and sweats with a walking boot on. Announcers said ankle injury. Just think of this...at least we're not Can't
