  1. Turn out the lights. . .
  2. Why we haven't tried to establish the run (((with our running backs))) and try to run play action is beyond me.
  3. Keep Pohl in the goddamn game.
  4. I'm not sure what we are doing when we possess the ball is worthy of being called an offense.
  5. Get Pohl in the game.
  6. Marcus looks good.
  7. Just ordered the ppv on dish. 40 bucks for standard def. Great value.
  8. Not a bad thing, pphilfran. I won't speak for everyone, but I like having people from other fanbases visit. You just remind me of districtballer. You don't have kin in Richmond, VA do you?
  9. I didn't know districtballer had a twin brother in Oklahoma. (((Just kidding)))
  10. Norman, Oklahoma has an average high temperature of 92 degrees Fahrenheit during the month of August, compared with a average high of 82 in Akron, Ohio. Anyone who has ever stepped out onto a practice field knows that those 10 degrees feel like 25. Then again, I went to Can't. What do I know?
  11. Sorry, Chipps. I just jinxed ya.
  12. So far tonight, I'd say the OSU Cowboys could have used Tyreek Hill.
  13. Jeez, Henry. You're letting your savage side show. My FIFY was an Ohio University joke meant for anyone who would get it. There are a couple of Bobtwat posters that capitalize every occurrence. However, I gotta say shame on you for not color coding sooner.
  14. Everybuddy luvs somebuddy sometime.
  15. As JZ84 alluded to, the 2015 Sooners are a much better team than the 2012 Volunteers, 2013 Wolverines or the 2014 Nittany Lions. While they had their problems last year, OU made a big move to fix them by bringing in Riley to install the Air Raid offense. As we witnessed in 2012, this offense can produce big numbers quickly and the Sooners have a kid at QB well versed in running this scheme from his days at Texas Tech. I think this all bodes poorly for the Zips. Even though Akron is as talented as they have been in years they are playing a team that has one proven bona fide stud running back in Perine and a fabled potential stud in Mixon. This has to be a team that has to feel they have something to prove after such a disappointing 2014 following the big bowl win over Alabama. Hopefully, Mayfield is inaccurate and throws a couple of picks. Hopefully, the Akron front 7 can shut down the run game. Hopefully, the Zips secondary can cover OU's talented receiving corps. I think all this needs to happen to even have a shot. On the other side of the ball, who knows what we are going to see. There is absolutely no evidence to even base an opinion or prediction on. Our offensive potential ranges from efficient machine to dumpster fire. I hope I am wrong, but Oklahoma 35 Akron 7
  16. FIFY. You are not nearly as adept at the whole OU thing as your peers from Athens are.
  17. Correct, but it looks like there is a BS Political Science/Criminal Justice program. https://www.uakron.edu/polisci/academics/undergraduate/pscj.dot
  18. I think this is one of the major reasons why the Zips have struggled running the ball recently. It is very difficult to drive block out of a 2-point stance. The 2-point stance is great for basically catching and deflecting defenders away from the quarterback. I realize it is a tradeoff that many spread offenses make for the passing game, but for the run game, it handicaps an offensive lineman like it would handicap a sprinter if you took away his starting blocks.
  19. Will Air Raid Offense Put OU Ground Game on the Back Burner?
  20. I think recruiting will probably pick up since we renamed the College of Education.
  21. I believe I have been steadfast in my opposition to the name change and as far as I can remember I don't think I have ever come out in support of Scarborough. Methinks you may be mixing my mockeries in your mind.
  22. No way! I took Scar at his word when he said the name change was off the board. I can see the presser now. . .Scar at the podium with the branded logo behind him. . . As he begins his presentation, the left side of the logo begins to fade, the right side of the logo enlarges and centers itself. Once centered, the apostrophe ess fades to white and the typeface of the remaining words morphs into the new logo for Ohio Polytechnic University. It will be a sad day.
  23. It is hard to find stats for MAC institutions, but the stipend amount varies a lot and it does not directly correlate with cost of attendance. For example, Penn State has the largest stipend in the Big Ten @ $4788 and an in state cost of attendance of $34506. Michigan State has the lowest stipend @ $1872 and an in state cost of attendance of $25286. It is up to each school whether or not they want to pay the full stipend. I believe BG has already gone on the record saying they will not pay the full cost.
