Next week's game will be one of the biggest of the Bowden era. Not because of who we play, but because of what it could mean for the program. We need to send a message. Everyone will be watching the Zips to see if this team is really different. If we stomp ULL it will create some real buzz about the Zips. If we lose, well then people will forget all about the Michigan game. I just want to see a big crowd on Saturday and people get excited about something at Infocision Stadium.

If anything I think today's game should send a message to NE Ohio to support this team. Is it really much to ask to get 30k out to watch them next week?

Too much field with not enough time...

Crazy how the momentum shifted in Michigan's favor after we scored. Since then we haven't been able to make a stop. Even with this loss I think it's a positive heading into the next game. If they can play at this level all season we can win a couple games.

WOW! Great TD EDIT: Well...that was fun while it lasted. Michigan went right down the field

Very disappointing two drives there. We needed to put some points on the board. Try to to get too excited remember the Tennesse game. We were tied at half and they ran away with it. Have to think Michigan will come out swinging in the 2nd half.

4th & inches...why not go for it? QB sneak right up the middle

We had momentum and moving the ball....butterfingers blew it

We'll need to score a TD next drive if they want to keep it close. Aside from the one stop the defense really hasn't been playing well.

Honestly, I would have more faith in last year's team heading into this game. I feel like our offense isn't playing as well as we saw last season. While the defense is about the same. If the defense shows up for this game it might stay close.

Technically they are the same helmets, just added another decal.

Agree completely. Crowd noise will be the least of our worries. Our defense got torn apart by a FCS school last week. As much as I want to stay positive, this is going to be a very lopsided game.

I definitely feel like the offense could be more aggressive and Hirschman should be starting. On the defensive side we really need to step it up. A FCS team should not be able to run for 5+ yards on every carry. At the end of the day we're at .500 for the first, and probably last time this season.

While some might be disappointed, Akron really doesn't have money right now to do anything big. I mean we've been wearing the same uniforms for 5 years now?

Couldn't tell by the feed, but didn't JMU get the first down? Meaning the clock should have stopped?

This ending...not fun waiting for the last second field goal.

Yup JMU can win it with a field goal Just don't turn it over Zips.

Honestly, what if we just let them score on the kick returns? Then we won't even have to waste time playing defense..

Post from the future: "...and JMU takes the lead with another touchdown"

Well our defense looks like it belongs in Division 3 right now.

Defense. Seriously start stopping this team! I don't understand how they can be that bad.

Offensive line and most of the defense needs to step up in the second half.

Please don't let them score before halftime!

I think the runner was down. Seemed like the ball fell out pretty late. But the angle they showed wasn't that great. This JMU coach is really getting on my nerves. Looks like he's flipping out every time they show him.

Was that 3 sacks in a row? wow this OLine is pathetic... If I'm JMU I'd run it right up the middle every, single play.
