Well our defense looks like it belongs in Division 3 right now.

Defense. Seriously start stopping this team! I don't understand how they can be that bad.

Offensive line and most of the defense needs to step up in the second half.

I think the runner was down. Seemed like the ball fell out pretty late. But the angle they showed wasn't that great. This JMU coach is really getting on my nerves. Looks like he's flipping out every time they show him.

Was that 3 sacks in a row? wow this OLine is pathetic... If I'm JMU I'd run it right up the middle every, single play.

I turned it on a few minutes ago. Got to see Pohl throw a beautiful long completion down the field to someone in a JMU uniform. How bad are the rest of the QBs that this guy is playing?

Losing to a piece of s*** FCS school should be the last straw for Zips fans. Guess we need to find a different way to spend our fall.

A lot of FCS schools have beaten FBS schools this year. As embarrassing as it is, it happens.

I agree. Unless we're talking about a school like Penn State or Alabama, there's nothing wrong with variety. I think Akron can do a lot of modern stuff since that tradition isn't really there. I will say that I think the Zips should stay away from colors like black and gray. I think those seem to be overused today.

Matte blue would be pretty cool. But white would mean the Zips can go wear all-white stormtrooper style.

Just stumbled upon this article. Our friend RI expected significant improvement in his second year. The scary thing is we heard the same things about Terry's team heading into this season. Let's hope it works out better for him. Back to the JMU game. I still don't know what to expect from this team. Nothing from last week gave me confidence we'll win. Last season we had trouble containing running QB's so that aspect of the Dukes game concerns me. Honestly I just hope we win, and that there's more than 15k in the stands...

Exactly how I feel. I wish Zips basketball and football would become the "place to be." Soccer was able to achieve that for years and it is an unbelievably boring sport. What exactly is there to do in Akron that's better than going to a Division 1 sporting event? Seems like students would rather get drunk and pass out, while the rest of NE Ohio would rather sit at home on their couches and do nothing.

I really hope we don't lose the JMU. They also have beaten FBS teams before. I remember them beating a ranked VT team a few years ago. Watching this weeks games, I don't think there's any team that played worse than our Zips.

Never thought I'd say this, but if the offense can start scoring we'll be okay. A part of me wants to believe that those awful announcers last night were correct. How they praised the UCF offense's every step, maybe they are good? If anything take last night as a learning experience for both the team and fans. As Zips fans we can't get optimistic. The team has learned it's going to take a lot of work to get better. We weren't going undefeated anyway, jut strive for a .500 record and get a bowl game. Progress.
