  1. What in the living hell. Down goes Finley on the first play. We have the worst luck
  2. It’s sloppy by whoever put it out is what it is unfortunately. It’s either his info from last year that was never changed (as it doesn’t match the position where he’s listed first string) or the wrong person entirely.
  3. No clue how accurate (though a lot of it does look like what we’d expect), but there is now a depth chart on GoZips.com in the game notes.
  4. How many new students do you need to attract for it to break even?
  5. I must gloss over your all MAC predictions. Who do you got for the 2023 and 2024 classes?
  6. What progress would you have been looking for to be more positive? General consensus is that at minimum, we have a better QB than last year, and that alone would've probably would've let to multiple more wins. Biggest loss might've been Lingard, but I think we have a solid replacement and Lingard was gross underutilized as is. Plus, Joe is back calling the plays.
  7. I completely agree. Hate to already look at next season before this one even starts, but with schedule and returning players, 2025 is really when the program should start hitting its stride. 4 wins min should be the baseline this season assuming Finley is mostly healthy. Its time for progress to be made in the win column, though it may not be substantial.
  8. I saw Arth multiple times on the sideline for the Steelers last night. Seems like a solid guy, but from a coaching aspect..talk about failing forward. Horrible at Akron, land a job coaching Justin Herbert. Staff gets fired and then get a job coaching Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Of course, neither have looked good this offseason so far.
  9. thanks for sharing. I am assuming Lewis III is a starter at S. Any insight on who the other S, as well as the two starting corners will be? Would imagine David, Greenwood, and possibly Dimarco Johnson in play. At outside CB - not sure if I think anyone is set in stone, but Hunter, Golden-Nelson, Reed, DeWalt, Anderson and Jarmon are all in play.
  10. This is legit the worst coverage I can remember. Nothing from the university besides pictures and a few highlight videos. Nothing from the ABJ. Sad.
  11. Agree. Ark St, Yale, Princeton, St Mary’s, and Sun Belt return game will all be good tests against mid major opponents. Think the lack of the tourney in a tropical destination against good mid majors/P5 is what makes it look so blah.
  12. You guys are more observant than I am lol. I think the uni’s look sleek.
  13. May be a way to lower/get out of “buy game” costs? Idk, but has to be something to it if the trend is catching on. Probably helps the lower caliber programs save on travel costs as well.
  14. Educators are valuable, but also need to know when to stay in their lane. My recollection is that there was pressure by the educators to hire Scarborough over Tressel as President due to lack of doctorate or whatever, and that may very well have been the worst hire in University history.
  15. Isaiah Walker already off the roster. SMH
  16. I’ll throw my hat in the ring and say I think we have our OL fixed. Another offseason of development for the young guys, brought in numerous guys with P5 talent and good JUCO/FCS accolades. My prediction with probably a bit of homerism: 6-6. But going 4-8 worst case. Would feel better if OOC wasn’t such a gauntlet. Not only win wise, but also in terms of staying healthy. I personally think the program really hits its stride next year.
  17. Probably the same at every MAC school. I wonder how our football budget compares to the rest of the conference. Truly don't know.
  18. Feels like we’re off to a really strong start with this class.
  19. Hasn’t seem to have done much this far in his career. Walk on at Michigan, walk on at Maryland (playing on special teams), few seasons of a couple hundred rushing yards at UT Martin. Depth piece which was needed, but probably at least 3rd on the depth chart and maybe builds some goodwilll with St Eds..
  20. Funniest thing I've seen today. Yikes that was bad.
  21. ESPN+ has Mac media day replay on demand. Zips segment starts at little after 2:05. mostly coach speak/stuff we already know: - need to get the run game going. Simmons has been doing good so far - Finley won games at NC st and Cal. He’s looked good so far - safeties/CBs might have most depth and competition on the team. I think this is good to hear considering DL and LB group is a little more proven with returners form last year. - Joe keeps it real with the scheduling talk. Definitely acknowledges the difficulty of OOC.
  22. After this year, our future non-conference schedules actually look quite reasonable. 2025: Wyoming, @ Nebraska, @ UAB, and Duquesne 2026 (not quite as easy but still acceptable): @ Wake Forest, Robert Morris, @ Minnesota, UNLV 2027: @ Rutgers, @ UNLV, Maine
  23. Saw a block and a put back dunk so far.
  24. UCONN is already in the Big East for basketball. Not sure AAC moves affecting football are going to drive them to the point of leaving the Big East in basketball.
