Thanks for sharing the tidbits. I was not able to make the Cleveland meet up this year and probably won't be able to make the Akron one either, but I did enjoy myself at last year's in Cleveland. Never thought of checking to see if any Zn.O members were going. I need a little more clarification on how we were able to beat the 30 million deficit last year, but still face a 29 million deficit this upcoming year. I've read maybe one article about it, and it basically said the U refinanced debt, got some unexpected state funding, and did not fill positions that were created due to departures. Seems to me that 2 out of 3 of those could be considered "fixed" expense reductions, so I just don't see how it is still such a big deficit.

Will Barto is a funny example. There isn't enough coverage to know all of the details. I would imagine we pulled the offer on the kid. I'd much rather have Meeks anyways who probably had a better offer list pre-injury than any other MAC commit in 2017, but I do agree that all of these guys not qualifying is getting a bit depressing. Crying about the "local" kids is dumb though as the current crop have not played a single down yet and we have had many local kids be key cogs on the team. I believe there were even some articles on it during the bowl season.

Great point Balsy. Joe Thomas said essentially the same when asked about the recent CTE study the other day, that the findings don't mean much without being able to compare it to the general population.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions of coaching/admin/players/etc, but I agree with @MDZip 100% on the effects it could have. Just something to consider before hitting the post button.

I've been hearing the family ticket package promotion nearly constantly on 94.9. Something like a $500 value for $240.. lower level seating in the "Kids corner", parking, and concessions (amount unknown) for each game.

I was on the train to keep him until his contract runs up, but I think Zipps5 has a point. Why would any player consider your program when the coach is probably gone before you step foot on campus? You think other recruiting classes looked rough...wait til you see 2019's if they keep him without extending.
