I couldn't watch anymore: what happened?

This team (read: offense) sucks. Same 'ol Akron. Zero clue what coaching staff or anyone see in Chapman.

These numbers look odd. What does "cost of attendance" actually mean? How is it determined, and how is it relevant to anything other than athletics given the context of the discussion? I know it costs a lot more then $2500 to attend Akron.

I think we have similar realistic expectations. However, to my knowledge, Embick hasn't had any top 10 seasons, never a national championship contender, and obviously a national championship. If one of his seasons was top 10, its negated by the early tourney exit. The apparent difference is that after two full seasons I haven't seen anything that makes me think he has "it" to be anything more than capable of running a borderline top 25 program.

Not losing out on top local soccer talent to joke programs like BG would be a good start. Making a tournament run would be even better. I took a look back at the past 3 MAC preseason polls. Each year, the Zips continue to get less and less 1st place votes. Its clear the perception of the program is changing.

I'm just as disappointed in everybody else. We have to remember that last night we were facing the best team and best defense we will face this season. I agree that the talent being brought in could be much better. However, I saw some true freshman in on offense, which leads me to believe that the quality he is bringing in is improving. Last year, I believe Jerome Lane and O'Leary were the only freshman who weren't red-shirted. Kincade was a great recruit. MTB was as well. Kincade bounced before we ever seen him on the field.My guess is due to the change in offense. MTB's career thus far has been a bust, he isn't playing this season and I wouldn't expect much to change. Chapman was a 4 star recruit in HS. So the talent is obviously there. You can see that he is a great athlete. I would like to see him start by completing a pass and not run as much, but I'm not ready to give up on him in his first D1 game against what will likely be the best team he faces in his career. I also know for a fact that we could have had Roger Lewis (BG, initially recruited by OSU IIRC), but the coaching staff didn't want to get involved with his "demands". Good for them.

Dylan Evans has been chasing his guy around the field all night. Not a match for this P5 talent. I remember him getting burnt by Jesse James at PSU last year to end the game too.

start preparing for next week right now. Let Chapman finish out the game to see if he shows anything, If not, Pohl is the starter going forward.

I'm seeing a lot of unfamiliar faces out there at WR. Jerome Lane looks like our best offensive weapon, which is a great testament to him, but also kind of disappointing that he is already better than everyone else. I've noticed Means, Young, Harris, and Cooper out there at WR along with Lane. Hopefully one or two of other other new guys step up. Haven't noticed Goodman once and we know what Pratt and Davis are.

I don care what offense we run or who is the QB at this point, just want some consistency. Hard for either of them to get into a groove swapping them in and out.
