We sit at 20-4 with 7 regular season games left- If we reach 26-27 wins and lose the MAC Championship, is there a chance we get an at large bid, especially if we surpass Kansas' season winning streak of 18- We would technically be one of the "hottest/streaking" teams in the country and Akron is building a nice reputation as a "Sexy" pick for tourney nods But then again sending 2 teams from the MAC seems highly irresponsible of the selection committee

If this was Akron from a few years ago, we would have lost this game. We didn't lose, we pulled it out and are still in the national spotlight with a 15 game winning streak

Miami is 8-12 (3-5, MAC) Miami (OH) STATS - ESPN Akron- STATS - ESPN Miami has lost 4 out of their last 5 games- No quality wins or competitive games against good teams The statistic that is glaring is their rebounding, or lack thereof... Miami=341st, Akron=49th We need to take Miami seriously like all MAC teams, but hopefully our post players can dominate on the boards and make this game lopsided from the get-go. Go Zips!!

I like the guys - I usually call to talk about the zips, expos (someday they will return) or play trivia?

How were you able to walk the grounds? I never attended a game there, but I love running on that road with the Rubber Bowl, Derby Downs and Airdock and always wish I could just hop in there-

You call "Chuck's Last Call" at least once a week to talk about how great Akron sports are and Chuck reminds you that while Akron is fine and good it's just that he's a Cleveland guy and that will never change.

Ugh, does anyone have tickets for purchase? I heard the games sold out- maybe people will be scalping tomorrow Go zips!?

The JAR may implode on Saturday right around 7pm - sure hope Kansas loses too, it would be a pretty cool accomplishment to own the longest active winning streak in the whole friggin' NCAA (But I shouldn't get ahead of myself) Go Zips!!

NCAA Career Block Leaders Sorry to use Wikipedia, but they were the only site I could find with a nice encompassing list of shot blockers ... Zeke stands with 319 career blocks. In order to be in the TOP 25 of all time he would need to reach 393; which equals 74 more blocks... There are 12 regular season games left not including tournament games. Zeke needs to average a little over 6 blocks a game to reach the TOP 25 for Career Shot Blockers Hey, it could happen!

Crayton, Craeten, Kraitin........................ Anyway, I see we will be playing #16 Creighton on ESPN3. A win here could really eliminate our early season losses- Obviously, on the road will be challenging, but it seems as though the Zips are developing some thick skin and starting to play well together- Additionally, Cleveland St. plays #25 NC State this weekend. If the Vikes win there- it'll be a fantastic match-up when we have them at home.

Well the first games are kicking off-- I was hoping Cleveland St could step up against Michigan St. but they are already down 2-0. I thought we could use this as a forum for all the other games that are going on today especially the Michigan v. Niagara game Go Zips!
