A must win game tonight. I'm still recovering from the long weekend in Nashville, but I'll be ready tonight at Manny's Pub.

This Thursday kicks off Olympic Qualifying. The journey to Gold begins. The Group Stage matches are on Universal Sports Network if you're watching from home. AO Akron is hosting the watch parties at Manny's Pub. Game will be on a few televisions with March Madness on the others. I'm not a basketball guy myself, but I know many others are. Yaznasty and bobbyake will be bringing the ruckus. Join them at Manny's! I'll be in Nashville for the first two matches, but back for Monday's match against El Salvador.

You're right about the talent on the wings. The midfield overall is the clubs most skillful and crowded position. Not a bad thing. I think Porter's most difficult position to declare a starter will be at Goalkeeper. Johnson and Hamid have both looked good, but I think Hamid will get the nod. Can't go wrong either way. No slip ups and this team should be on its way to London. El Salvador will be the toughest opposition in our group. Mexico will get better, but I'd still like to stay away from playing them in the Semis

Yaz, did Porter try that in one of the scrimmages in a previous camp? If I remember correctly, I don't think it worked out to well. But maybe that has changed.

Roster is initially set for Olympic Qualifying. Roster will be finalized March 20th. Tough break for Dilly Duka who suffered an injury Saturday would've been on this squad. What I like most about Messi.......he doesn't dive, stays on his feet, and has incredible balance. I think he needs a few more years of consistency until he's considered with the likes of Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Zindane, etc. But he's very close to being on his way.

I can't agree with baseball is dying, maybe because I'm a baseball fan too. Soccer and baseball are my two favorite sports and probably the two sports the general public want to dislike the most. Most I come across either hate soccer or love soccer and the same goes for baseball. I can fit MLB and MLS into my summer months; they really don't conflict with my schedule. I still go to the same amount of soccer and baseball games a year. So I really can't agree they compete against each other all that much. A soccer game is once a week, maybe two, a baseball game is going on 7 days a week. The other two big sports. I haven't attended a football or basketball game on any level for about 5+ years now, but I've probably been to 40-50 baseball and soccer games in the last year. The remarks earlier about the best athletes in the US playing other sports, in my opinion the best athletes in the US already play soccer

That could possibly be correct. From articles I've read on Ohio.com said captain and defender. He possibly could've played both positions.

Yep! USMNT vs Italy at 2:30pm on ESPN2 and US U-23 vs Mexico at 10pm on Univision. And the USWNT kick off the Algarve Cup in Portugal against Denmark at Noon, unfortunately no television coverage. A full day of US Soccer. I really would've liked if the USMNT game ran back to back with US U-23 match.
