  1. Looks like the 49ers supporters. Disappointing after finding out this is a Minor League Baseball stadium. Holds 10k+ they have bleachers on the camera side stretching the field. That's where the supporters are and it doesn't look bare. I think the 49ers supporters are across the field in the seats, to the right of midfield, behind the dugout. You can't miss them jumping up and down.

  4. Don't think I can make it to London, but is anyone thinking of heading to Nashville for the CONCACAF Qualifying Group Stage(March 22, 24, & 26) USA Match Times and Ticket Prices - Tickets go on sale Dec. 20th. I would imagine AO Supporter Section Tickets will be up for sale shortly too.
  5. Lets help the WPS and add a club in Akron. Then make a deal for Alex Morgan
  6. A bit loose, not as tight fitting as your normal adidas, nike, puma jerseys. I normally wear a large, and it fits quite comfortable with enough room to wear some under clothing in those late season evening matches.
  7. Thanks Yaz! These are always good! I requested he add Bobby Wood while in the U-20's over the summer. As my request, Wood was co-host in one of the recordings and supposedly it got deleted somehow. Haha Unfortunately, it appears Bobby Shou Wood, "the next Brian Ching" was deleted from the Florida U23 camp by Coach Porter. Can we ask Zarek to put him back in? Bobby Shou Wood suffered a knee injury a few weeks ago as he was just starting to get back into playing time with 1860 Munich first team. Because of damage to the lateral meniscus in his knee. Expected to be back to training after the winter break.
  8. Porter Names 28 Player Roster for US U-23 Training Camp Dec. 15-23 Including Valentin, Bunbury, and Sarkodie
  9. Anyone find an answer to this important question? I'd like to buy a couple for Christmas. Are they available? Or is there a talented screen-printer who could make a couple on the fly? just wondering, thanks. Try contacting SKN Athletic Gear in Akron. I bought a 2010 Away SS #8 from them last December. Looks like they haven't updated the website much, but if they're selling and have available the 2010 shirts for $30, I'm buying another one. Its not Adidas, but its still a quality jersey and you can customize it.
  10. One of the overseas clubs interested in reeling in Darren Mattocks is Norwegian club Viking FK Here is the Norwegian article, but I translated it below. Two US players currently play in the Norwegian league and possibly could be called in for the U-23 Olympic squad are Mikkel Diskerud and Joshua Gatt. Viking Yachts Big Talent With 36 goals in 43 matches called Darren Mattocks as a major talent in the United States. Now try the Viking to snatch the quick tip. - Mattocks is the top scorer in university football. He has extreme speed, explains Viking's coach Aage Hareide. Darren Mattocks played for the University of Akron in Ohio made the last two years. 21-year-old, originally from Jamaica, contributed greatly to the team won the series this season. Mattocks contributed with 18 goals. See video of Mattocks . Viking had such good references and tips on the player that sent Gary Goodchild to the United States. He saw Mattocks play more games and followed the attacker in training throughout the week. Mattocks have recently spoken to local newspapers in Ohio that he dreams of a career in Europe. After the Aftenbladet know, jobs Viking now have a transition for jamaicaneren. - The reports are good. He has technique and is a classic goalscorer. He has x-factor, says Hareide. - Will he be a gain for the Viking? - He is the chart among the top five players in the United States. This means that one of the largest MLS clubs are likely to catch him up. We have very good references on him from people I trust. Moreover, it is so we have to work. We need to have players with quality, while being hungry and go up and up, responds Hareide. Viking is also in dialogue with Henry Anieres, the Estonian U-national team player who was on trial for a couple weeks ago. After the Aftenbladet know, is not Hareide stranger to sign both Anieres and Mattocks. As Mattocks belongs to a school, he will hardly make the big inroads in the Vikings budget.
  11. US U-23 on USsoccer.com "Porter will soon announce a roster for a domestic training camp that will be held from Dec. 15-23 in Sarasota, Fla. "
  12. I have GolTV, but I only watch it for Bundesliga. Which in my opinion is the most entertaining league in Europe as far as a competitive balance, quality skill, and the stadium atmosphere. I just can't get up for Spanish La Liga, it's a two headed horse race, but I'll tune in when those two horses go head to head.
  13. For Arsenal the match meant nothing to them as they already finished on top of the group.
  14. I don't think so. He's started the few games that I've watched. EDIT: I checked 8 box scores at http://www.tarheelblue.com/sports/m-soccer...ccer-sched.html, and Ben was listed as a starter in all of them. I didn't check every box score, but I'm convinced he is a starter for UNC as I thought. I was checking box scores too, but I checked them all. He started every match except one
  15. As a Zip Soccer fanatic, I'm surprised I've never thought about my obscure favorite team... After some brief research, I'd have to choose FK Partizan from the Serbian Superleague. Nice choice! They've performed relatively well in Champions League. Rooting for a team like this in CL is akin to rooting for a MAC (American) football team against a BCS team. Haha, yeah... that's a similarity I observed as well. But, about the Champions League.. Anyone going to catch the matches today? This may not be the best thread to have this discussion, but I was just curious. I'll be watching, trying to decide which game to watch though. I've narrowed it down to Chelsea v Valencia or FC Porto v Zenit St Petersburg,
  16. Good conversation! I don't have an EPL team I watch every week, but I do follow and listen to a League 2 club Northampton Town FC sitting at the bottom of the table. If we go to Conference, all hope will be lost. Juventus, Serie A has been much more exciting this season. I follow Celtic FC some. Of course the Columbus Crew. I've been trying to watch more Bundesliga. I'd like to pull for 1860 Munich, but they're still in League 2, tough to see any matches.
